Creators: how much do you playtest and does it still work for you?

I’ll actually listen to the song with my hand on my junk and experiment until I find something that works. I figure, if it can make things feel good and works with the music, then I’ll use that. It’s like doing firing tests with live ammo though, so I have to be cautious.

You kinda have to playtest, just to know if it is too hard or too easy, BUT... this is pretty subjective depending on the person.

I would say that the playtest for me happens at the beginning when I am creating it much more than when it is done. You find footage that turns you on and see how your body react to the beat when you are aroused.

When the product is almost finish, I feel like using a test team is a good idea, they can give feedback on difficulty and a bunch of other things, like errors that slipped from your attention, BUT... this can also make the process toward a release wayyyy longer and kill the momentum a little bit.

I don't think it is possible to evaluate the production after I've watched the editing clips for several days. It's just not possible to get into the innocent mindset if you know every trick in the video by heart. Nevertheless, just watching the different parts gives a good idea if the pacing and editing work. Only a true playtest could reveal deeper problems.

It's yet to get old for me (I'm 'at it' even while editing it ), it's kind of like how I like my own writing, play my own games, and how you can rewatch scenes on your own over and over sometimes, no one knows me better than myself-I have all of these clips saved specifically because they work for me. I thought maybe I wouldn't be able to watch it myself and get enjoyment, but that's simply not the case
