Greetings!

For many years, and with immense pleasure, I have studied the great authors of remixed video pornography who publish their works in the wonderful Milovana forum, and elsewhere. During this time we have been blessed with a seemingly endless array of Cock Hero and Porn Music Video creations, to the point where it becomes challenging to keep track of it all. With every day that passes, these artists and their art are lost and forgotten.

Many have attempted to maintain detailed public records for the benefit of all, like the venerable doremi and his predecessors with their HD Cock Hero Downloads Index thread. These efforts are important and laudable, but also inherently limited: There's only so much an individual scholar can do and there's only so much information one can capture in a forum thread before it becomes unwieldy and impractical.

For these reasons, I created the PMV Wiki at https://pmv.wiki!

The mission of PMV Wiki is to map the world of Porn Music Videos. For the shake of semantic convenience, I chose to classify Cock Hero videos as a sub-genre of PMVs but without failing to appreciate the magnitude of the Cock Hero phenomenon itself, and acknowledging that people in this forum are primarily Cock Hero connoisseurs.

But it is for this reason that I write to you today: PMV Wiki needs your help!

Despite being blessed with a notably voluminous cranium befitting of a scholar, and despite my insatiable appetite for musically synchronized pornography, it is simply not possible for me to be aware of all the intricacies of Cock Hero artists and their history. I therefore call upon you to assist me in this scholarly endeavor!

• Do you like Cock Hero and PMVs?
• Do you have an eye for detail?
• Do you maintain a healthy obsession for accurate documentation?
• Does the dread of cultural amnesia keep you up at night?

That said, softcore vs. hardcore seems to be a very common discussion point and important feature for a lot of members here. Maybe something to add as a column to the works list.

I would love to see Edge Hero added there. Many CH productions have edging components, of course, but some are just edging and are kind of their own subcategory to CH, or a related subcategory of PMV.

How would the acceleration and how long can you last type challenges fit in here? There are CH videos that don't have music, so they wouldn't technically be PMVs.

You can also rely a lot on citing the artists' own description of the work from their release posts. For example, in NoodleDude's page, I have included the descriptions for his PMVs that he has on his website and then I also cite it.

The Great Pornhub Purge is a critical turning point in PMV history and I intend to document it further in the wiki.

If you're not already aware, there was a great effort to collect PMVs from people like you (and me) who had downloaded them prior to the purge. This was done in the PornEdits discord which is run by the same people who run /r/PornMusicVids. The archive was hosted by mega and mega recently took it down. But several people still have full offline copies. The whole thing was over 2TB when it was taken down and it's still growing as more people submitted lost and recovered PMVs.

I just used it to get hang of how the wiki markup works, but my background is in software development (though I haven't worked with it for several years now) and I happened to know the subject matter pretty well, so that was easy enough. And it didn't work on the first try. You just didn't see the saves that came with big red error messages. ;)

Anyway, I changed a bit on how the citations were done compared to some of the other tables, so hope that was ok. It made more sense to me to put the refs as citations right on the date, rather than in their own column, especially if more than one type of data needed citations.

But it's a wiki, so feel free to change it if you think something else is better.

That said, I'll try to do some updates here and there that aren't explicitly about me when I have time. :)

Very interesting, fellow CH/PMV librarian here and I think I can help. I will DM you.

I document my downloads extensively (pathologically), especially focusing on add-on files such as e-stim and funscripts that are often spread across other sites like eroscripts and socialstim and are often not made by the video creator. With different versions/fixes of the files, or submissions by various fans, there can be quite an intricate web.

Here is an example where I documented blurby's "PEP 6" from his wonderful prostate-focused e-stim/video series. The PEP 6 e-stim had some technical issues initially and is a great example of multiple add-ons made by various people, with different trade-offs.

Honestly, I spend much more time researching and maintaining the library than actually watching or stimming! (including running ffmpeg to merge multi-track e-stim audio into these videos... I would love to upload them to share, but that is another matter...)

Most of my other downloads have similar .txt documentation, so if I can find an efficient way to merge my info into the wiki, I'll bet I would geek out on that. I keep a lot of files for a private library but certainly a small fraction of all the PMV content out there.

Given that e-stim and funscripts are very closely related to PMVs, they should absolutely be documented in PMV Wiki.
Sadly, it is unlikely that I will ever acquire the hardware necessary to enjoy these things. My knowledge on the topic will always be that of an outsider. Therefore the wiki will rely on contributors like who are familiar with the space. Still, I will share some initial thoughts on how to organize the information.

Since e-stim and funscripts are tied to specific PMVs and Cock Hero videos, it might make the most sense to add this info in the page of each specific PMV. I point out that I have not made any individual pages for PMVs yet, but this is a very good reason to start doing that. If the original artist is also the author of the scripts, it makes sense to add info about scripts along with the CH and PMV entries directly in the artist's page. If a person is primarily authoring scripts for other people's PMVs, they should have their own page, and also a Category like Category:Script authors similar to Category:PMV artists and Category:Cock Hero artists.

Also question: Is there an umbrella term which describes both e-stim and funscripts? Would "scripts" be appropriate or not? Feel free to document the answer in the Porn Music Video page directly!

These are just my initial thoughts, but ultimately you should do whatever you think makes the most sense, and if I have some objection or correction, I'll let you know.

I think the easiest place to start is with a Cock Hero artist page. doremi's thread is immensely useful for this. Pick one of your favorite CH artists from the list and then look at some of the existing CH artist pages on wiki for formatting reference, like 3xTripleXXX's page for example. And if you have any other questions just ask.

I have just finished documenting all the key information for the World PMV Games 2022 competition in PMV Wiki!

This is an excellent opportunity to showcase the potential of a wiki while also presenting you, the Milovana community, all the concentrated information about this very influential PMV event. While it's likely that you've all heard of the World PMV Games, I am all but certain that some of the information in this wiki page will surprise you!

Here's only the summary of the event:

The World PMV Games 2022 competition was announced on /r/PornMusicVids by sabermix on January 20, 2022.[4] It was further organized and directed by skerrako who also announced his retirement as World PMV Games organizer. The winner and top 10 ranking was determined by a panel of eight judges and a weighted public vote. Forty four PMV artists participated in the event.[5]. The public poll received votes from 1061 fans.[6] A custom nft trophy was created by A Ghoul Editor for the winner.[7]

The winner of the World PMV Games 2022 is NoodleDude with their entry "Kawaii vs Goth".

Consider now that the same can (and will) be done for events like the Cock Hero Softcore Collaboration: Documenting all participating Cock Hero artists, linking to their individual wiki pages, documenting details about specific works, etc...
