For your training, wei'll be focusing on your endurance and stamina. Unfortunately, we don't have that much time for training so it will have to be quite focused and rather intense.

I hope you don't mind if we get started right away. I'll give you just the basic endurance workout. We'll have other coaches train you along the way also. But for now, I'll get you warmed up. As you know, warming up before any athletic activity is essential.

Let's start simple. We can stretch together. You go ahead and warmup with your usual warmup rules.

I know we just barely started, but I have to say I'm quite impressed with what I'm seeing so far.

I see I need to up my warmup routine a bit. How's this? Should get us both going.

When running long distances, you have to be able to find a good easy pace at times.

Now go!! Push your routine to the limit. Double the amount of time for everything. Add another edge at the end too. You want that gold don't you!

That's it, lmind. Mmmm… looking sooo good. I hear it's going to be quite hot in Tokyo… better turn things up to get you conditioned. Add another 60 seconds and push for two more edges. On the last edge, hold it for 10 seconds.

Since I can't be with you… I need to make sure you're ready. Have you seen some of the events?? The heat must be stifling over there. Add 90 seconds to your stroking and push for an extra two edges, last edge hold for 15 seconds.

Edge again… hold it for 10, hold it…. 5 more seconds… 4… 3… 2… 1… and stop.

Home stretch here… you need to get past two more runners for the gold. So listen carefully for our strategy. For the first runner, stroke with your rules then get to the edge again as fast as you can, then stop. For the 2nd runner, and the gold… stroke to the edge as fast as you can, then hold for 10 seconds. DON'T CUM or you won't medal! Ready? Go BABY!!
