I go by Legitimate. The cock heros I've made are:
In order of release

I'm thinking of making something unique. Something similar in vein to Cock Heros (elements of music and rhythm in order to challenge the viewers patience and stamina. Having stroking patterns to follow.) but different in terms of stuff like pacing and visuals. There may still be stuff like a story/narration or it may just be a simulation like other cock heros or like the mix series for example.

I'm asking for some thoughts and suggestions as well as some general questions.
  • What elements of Cock Hero do you like and would rather not go without?
  • How much level of importance do you put certain elements of Cock Hero productions? (i.e the Beatmeter, Beat Prompts like 1-1, story/narrator, cum countdown... etc)
  • What length do you like Cock Heros to go?
Most Cock Heros I've seen have a similar archetype. The have a set number of Rounds, clear cut Break periods, and opportunities for Narration or Guidance. With some of my work, I've tried to introduce concepts that are out of the norm while still complying with most if not all of these things.

Mix with it's constant backing track. In Mix 2 there were breaks in the action but the music never let up. The breaks were placed when the music had downtime.

Now I want or have a vision to create a visual experience. I imagined taking you through "states" of intensity while still testing your stamina and rhythm. It would still be a game but at the same time it would be an experience or film.

In terms of theme, check out "Wipeout HD (Omega collection) Zone Mode".

I chose this for it's increase in speed and intensity over time as well as the robotic voice as a guide similar to the dark voice in Mix 2.

I'd love your input. Sorry if this is just rambles of a mad man. In some ways it kinda is.

I’m a big fan of CH being nonstop. The breaks rarely feel necessary for me, and are just necessary downtime, so I’m with you on having the music straight through. I mix my backing tracks down before I even start with the video part, so they’re all ready as one continuous sound file at that point.

I like having beatmeters, and they’re more important than the text directions, which I think can be very difficult to make clear for anything more complex than the most basic patterns. More importantly, I think you need a clear beat sound in the background, because that will tell you much quicker than anything else that you missed a beat change, for example.

My ideal CH length is around 30-45 minutes, though I sometimes enjoy playing shorter or longer ones. It’s a balance of how long I’ve got available to spend on playing and how much time I actually want to spend. :)

Good Luck, but in my opinion don't search for novelty of form over coherence of the experience.

For me, the music is very important, I try to make it flow seamlessly through the whole experience. A break with a "gong sound" i always think is pretty annoying. Breaks during music downtime is the right way to do the breaks IMO, As it maintains immersion much better.

For the visual field, I think it should be as tidy as possible. So for my videos i try to keep text to an absolute minimum. Preferably if you want commands or story, audio would always be preferred by me. Beat Meter is preferred, but it should be made in the least distracting way possible.

I'm very sorry, but I really really disliked the beat meter overlay in CH mix. For me it gets annoying with white lines in the middle of a girls face when i watch the video. Keep the action somewhat in the middle of the screen. and make sure the viewers eyes do not move too much between edits, especially when making fast cuts. Eyes gets tired and it subtracts greatly from the immersive experience. (you can take a look at my videos to see what i mean)

For length, I think around 20-30 minutes of action is fitting, some warmup in the beginning is most often good, as long at its does not get boring. To me the beginning of a video should be made to build suspense, and not as a filler. That being said, I must admit I prefer hardcore action. So while dancing and solo girls are nice to start out with, it gets boring for me, and I skip if i find it too long.

The generated output of your video editor may be bloated, too big for not any significant benefit. One thing you can do is use HANDBRAKE with the H.264 (x264), RF18 Constant Quality and Web Optimized / Fast Start options, all other options by default. You'd be surprised how smaller the video becomes, without any impact to the quality.

Probably a 'niche' opinion, but I'd really love instructions that focus more on immersion. 'Gooning' if you will.

- slow methodical beat.
- stroke, edge, stop instructions - tease and denial basically
- trance inducing music.
- 'hypnotic' background. Could be just whispers, erotic ASMR, moaning, sexy talk, or actual hypnosis script.

There are very few of this type of video out there.

Technically complex beat patterns 'are' the direct analogy of "guitar hero" where the cock hero name comes from, yet for me, these kind of miss the point. To me the point is to follow instructions in a way that is difficult, sexually frustrating (in a good way), and immersive.

Honestly I would focus on a more unique story or setting than unique beatmeters/etc. Some of the standouts are Canto Inferno, World Championships, and Prime because of the story, not the game-changing trappings. People want immersion from story.

I'm interested in something more along the lines that polkadot wolf suggested.

A few points:

- Additional instructions other than just stroking is fun (Edge, ruin, etc)
- Quick cuts and lots of varied content is appreciated. I personally don't like it when a video spends too much time on a girl I'd rather see a multitude of clips (though I understand it has the potential to make editing a pain in the ass)
- I haven't seen many cock heros that make use of binaural beats but I wonder if it could help add to the challenge of segments
- I haven't seen split screen cock heros but that might be an idea
- It might be interesting to blend together hentai and regular content. While the majority of actual action in hentai is boring and forgettable some of the art is appealing
- Using some overlay and image techniques used in videos made with something like trance.exe applied to a cock hero would be interesting

Hi Legitimate, I've been a big fan of your previous CHs and you just might be my favorite creator. I remember very clearly that the end of CH Mix 1 was one of the best orgasms I've ever had. That being said, I made an account just when I saw this post and I'm glad any input I have might help shape what you do next!

To answer your questions, I think the standard beatmeter is a pretty important inclusion. For more complicated beats especially, it helps me get into the rhythm and once I am into it, the standard beatmeter just fades away unless a beat change or if for whatever reason I lose the beat. And in that case, having it is more helpful to be able to quickly get back into it. As others have said, I preferred your beatmeter in BA 1/2 and Mix 1 as it's a bit less intrusive than the one in Mix 2. I think if given the full beat meter at the bottom, the prompts aren't all that important, but I also don't mind them. I also don't really care for a cum countdown, but I know a lot of people are very passionate about it, so I'd include it for them. And as for narrations/stories, I personally don't prefer someone trying to attach a story to the porn like an RPG, but I do like it when there is a guide walking you through the CH like BA/BA2. In the Yhivi round of BA2, I was about to give out when the guide started teasing the viewer ("Full fucking strokes now. Don't pussy out on me", etc) and got re-energized and finished.

I like the continuous thing a lot. Mix 1 did this to my favorite effect, making it extremely challenging, but also extremely rewarding to play. If breaks are there when there's a lull in the music, that could be good for balancing reasons, but I usually find the ones that are non-stop without dedicated "break" portions to be extra fun. In terms of length, I usually like 45 minutes to around an hour or so. This way, there's enough time to really get into it if you know what I mean. The length is a large part of why I like yours so much as your lengths are around what I enjoy.

In terms of music, I think your music choices have gotten better with each release, so I'm gonna say your taste is improving and to keep go with that lol. In addition, from what I've gathered from your work, you have great taste in girls as well. Mandy Muse, Mia Malkova, and Remy Lacroix :thumbsup:

So, in conclusion:

I'd for sure keep a beatmeter and make projects longer and continuous. Beyond that, I'm sure you'll make something to make us proud based on your previous picks of girls and music.

I just gone through the Wipeout HD video... Let me tell you, I'm getting dizzy. :lol: It starts fast and stressful, and goes even faster. If it were porn, one might loose his boner just trying to concentrate to stay on track. Fast pace productions are difficult to survive, but the fast pace makes it very difficult for the creator to have a variety of beat patterns, and thus may become boring for the player. I'm very curious how you intend to make a fast pace production entertaining as well. Personally, a visual beat meter is not an absolute requirement, but if absent, the beat meter sound must be easily distinguishable. I also like for the beat change transitions to be intuitive/predictable. Many productions have random beats based on the music beats, and change too quickly and randomly, causing skipped beats because I wasn't paying attention to the bottom of the screen.

Rounds are not that important for me. If one has been slower, I may use the break as a short edge. As for the duration, I like 45-60 minutes. And sometimes when pressed by time, I will enjoy a 15 minutes production.
