My friend, you totally didn't get the point there. If you pay attention, just before that round begins, the boss say "it's a video perfectly crafted" and "a masterfully creation".

It's OBVIOUSLY a TRIBUTE to those first Vindicare videos. If you would have seen the credits, you would have seen that I thank specially Vindicare for making those videos.

Well, no it wasn't entirely OBVIOUS apparently... some got it, I didn't. And no, I didn't get to the credits because as I said I stopped watching at that point. I had no idea what was to follow after that round, and since it wasn't obvious (to me) what your intent was -- it completely spoiled the experience.

Plus, you go and say that I'm "lazy", after making a 2h video, with 19 rounds completely new, and an tribute one, with LOTS of cutscenes, with more than 120 text lines, a story, and a nice ending...

Just to correct, I didn't directly say YOU were lazy... just that the including of that segment made it seem that way. In fact I did give you credit for your efforts on the remainder of the content that I DID watch. But that being said, regardless of your intent, then as my only criticism of a style-choice (and less accusatory as I came off before) -- I still don't think that round fits well with the rest of the video. It would be like U2 putting out an album and sticking a Beatles tune (as recorded by The Beatles) on say track three of their album. While some might get the artistic reasoning for it, it's out of place and should be understood (even by the artist) that not everyone will "get it" necessarily. Doesn't mean the band is "lazy" for their work on the rest of the album but that the inclusion of someone else's work to fill in time seemed to be so.

Incidentally, an "homage" is usually a bit more subtle... such as comment regarding it... or glimmer of it in the background of the episode leading up to it or some such. But I digress...

I knew I was going to get flack back from my words (and I predicted as much). No comment of criticism goes by without some bruised feelings of hurt and misunderstanding. I apologize for misinterpreting your intentions with your use of that segment... it wasn't as obvious to me as it was to others. As I said, I enjoyed the first elements of the video, and the previous installment -- and based on your comment now, I have full intention of returning and enjoying the remainder of the video.

I understand you. But you can't make such a review if you haven't watch the WHOLE thing.

You say that the scene doesn't fit with the rest of the video. Let me explain it to you:

That video doesn't fit on purpouse. In the story, it's a video that the boss make you watch. It's the ONLY video, in the whole episode, which is made by a character. So, If you want to show a video, that is made by a character of your story, it HAS TO BE different. Of course it doesn't fit. It should not fit. It must be different to the rest of the scenes. If the video is similar to the rest of the scenes, then that video is not special.

It's like U2, introducing what they believe is an awesome song, and then placing a Beatles song.

And where is the best point to make a tribute to another creator? A video that has to be different? Or a video that should keep a similar layout with the rest of the scenes?

That's why that scene doesn't fit....but totally fits.

And yes, dude...It's quite obvious that it's a tribute. I'm sorry if you didn't get that...but it's quite obvious. If I wanted to steal, I wouldn't have thank vindicare in the credits, and wouldn't keep the layout of that old video.

I don't think your comment was hurting, but I do think it was ignorant. You didn't get an obvious tribute, so I can't take you review very seriously. Sorry If I'm being rude, man, but you said I was stealing someone else's work...and that's not nice.

Just to add my personal opinion on this. I think a "tribute" to anything in whatever domain should mostly be done by referencing, recreating, inserting "easter eggs", involving the original creator, etc. Not by directly using the "tributed" creator's content. It did feel awkward to me as well to see an old Flux scene in there. But that is just my personal opinion.

But what I do think is of really high importance in this case is: did you ask permission before using the content? If the answer is yes then it is legit. Possibly awkward to some of us but legit. If the answer is no, then it is theft, however you put it, tribute or not.

First, I am not ungrateful. I loved all you videos. They are great (Island 1 beeing the best in my opinion). But receiving negative comments is also part of the game.

Every one has the right to give his opinion on something. I am no game developper yet I can say what I like and don't like in games. I am no film maker yet I can give my opinion on the different Star Wars films (the original trilogy was better). I even have the right to vote, and I am no politician.

I did not say you stole anything. I just asked if you got permission from Vindicare to use his footage. If not, in my opinion, and I emphasise on IN MY OPINION, it is theft. If you don't agree with me it's fine. Just to let you know, I have the same concerns regarding the "Faster than cum" series, yet I still think they are good videos.

I understand where you are coming from, and it's a fair point, but to be devil's advocate here - isn't a Cock Hero video just a whole bunch of theft anyways? Steal some music from Youtube, download a whole bunch of porn from the torrents, and then fit it all together to make your own creation.

Really I don't disagree, and I know that each video really is a work of art by the author when it's done, but I wouldn't call Required a thief either. I think I understand what he was trying to do by including that clip where he did.

Anyways.

For the record, I really like Island 2. Just off the top of my head, the massage table scene might be one of my favorite Cock Hero scenes ever, and I am impressed with how that scene was edited together. And this video is so creative and full of great ideas throughout it.

I think Required did an awesome job with this video, which follows up with the awesome job he did with Cock Hero Island.

I think what is going on is that a lot of us would give this video a letter grade of 'A', and while we're very impressed with the effort and the final result, people are just pointing out little things here and there that they didn't like, or that they think could be improved upon, but they are forgetting to preface it with how much they liked your video. So then maybe it's coming across as harsh, because all your getting is the criticism without the praise.

You did a great job. Your video is 98%+ awesome, and (it seems to me) the community is holding you to a higher standard for some reason where we all expect it to be at least 110% awesome, based on how good the first one was.

Please, take a little time to cool off and let it go Required. I know I speak for a lot of people when I say that we all want you to continue to make these videos

It's not about negative comments. I know you can't make everyone happy. It's about the level of complaints. It's ridiculous, sometimes. And not just here...in general, there are a lot of ridiculous comments in every thread. Some people take this shit too seriously.

Just played this and wanted to say I loved it! Especially the milking table round, and I liked the story! The "game" aspect of the video makes it so much more fun to play and makes for a very natural place to put breaks into the video.

The "game" part of the video lacked a bit of variety once you entered the tower, since the floors looked mostly the same and the music was the same. Perhaps an idea for a future video would be to descend into a dungeon instead, a la Diablo. Then you can have more variety in the levels, such as first going through the cathedral, then catacombs, then caves, then hell. Perhaps a cow level? :)

No but seriously dude. I was a fan of 1 but this was... wow. What an incredible step down from the first one. AND IT'S TWO HOURS LONG!

The random video from Flux thrown in in its entirety came off as lazy to me too, and I skipped it immediately. Why would I want to watch something I've seen? Not a good look to blame the audience, btw. You created it, you have complete control over how easy it is to understand. A tribute is a reference, not a complete rip.

Not to mention the repetitive floors. The prison scene. The three hour massage scene that dragged ON and ON. Music-less solo scenes, where it dawned on me that I might as well be watching someone's playlist on xvideos. And to cap it off, chubby Carmella at the end as one of the final bosses. For real?

There was strangely nothing teasing, erotic or remotely stimulating about this at all. The Jerk It series blows this out of the water and it looks like it was cut on Windows Movie Maker in 3 days. It's devious and aggressive and hot as hell. This is softcore harmlessness. Just not for me I guess. But it goes to show quality over quantity. :)

As "harmless" and "fun" as this all is, you're still creating a film here, and we are the audience. We're giving you our feedback. I'm here to have fun too, and your video wasn't remotely entertaining. It's probably in your best interest to put your energy into something else.

Frankly, if you don't see how your response was not (only) constructive criticism and didn't cross some lines of being irresponsibly critical, you are the one with the issue, not @Required. I will state, simply to disclaim my position, I didn't care for this clip; however, to say to some one "your video wasn't remotely entertaining, it's probably in your best interest to" quit (paraphrasing the last bit), particularly when others here evidenced they liked it quite a bit, is just plain saying something that is ass-ish.

As someone else said, I understand your anger.

But I also encourage you to cool off and try to ignore those who don't know how to criticize or what the difference between speaking to craft responsibly and speaking to personal taste irresponsibly is. Then think more about it, and figure if you want to release and know there will always be those who are asses, just go ahead and find a way to ignore those people. Not to say what you should do either way, just encouraging you to think about it.

I avoided entering into all this for a few reasons. One of them is that, to be honest with you (please keep reading, don't let this bring you down), I didn't enjoy this much, and I didn't have, therefore, any real stake in the production per se. I leave it to others who feel they have something to say. However, I am driven by the negativity and your reaction to remind you how many people really liked it and so obviously you're doing something right. My view of art (which includes gaming) is so long as what a person makes reaches ANYONE, that justifies the art (well, in most cases; sure, we could get into niche cases of, for example, art that does more than offend and somehow causes real harm, but for the vast majority of cases I think my simple standard suffices). You're reaching some people; be proud of that first and foremost. I think you should keep making vids, I hope you do.
