I may not be the smartest of men but after around 8 years of marriage I'm just now learning that my wife is horsiest while on her period. We've never done anything sexual before while she was on the rag because... I don't know why. I guess it was just thought to be taboo and never came up.

So next weekend we've planned to go out of town for a romantic get away, but now my wife thinks she will be on the rag during the trip. In the conversation I discovered she get's really horny when shes on the rag and has tried to avoid sexual acts because she thought I wouldn't like it. After spending about 10 minuets on google I don't know of any reason I'd have issues with it.

It seems really erotic since we've never done it before, and hell if she's hornier when having her flow i'm surprised it hasn't come up before but I guess its something else we can attribute to how religion and culture tries to suppress female sexuality.

There are tons of info online about it, I just had to ignore anything on yahoo answers and it was very informative. Are any of you experienced in this? If so any tips to share?

Personally I can agree to being really horny whilst having my period and I guess it is just personal taste as to what you do at this time. I have never experienced any ill effects from sex whilst on, but most men find the idea a bit of a turn off.

One of the best sexual experiences I had was when I was on my period. Hubby2 and I were scheduled to meet in Atlanta for a weekend getaway - there was a concert that we were going to see.
Other then the concert and one trip out for food....we never left the hotel.

I knew my period was close.....and we talked about it......I found out...that flying in a plane can jump start your period...who woulda thunk that? *lol*

So, my thoughts about this are as such......and some of them are in disagreement with other posters comments....sorry about that.

1. I wouldn't wait to spring this on her, when you get there....you will spend a lot of time in conversation, when you could be having fun.

2. Take plenty of towels and wash cloths, and a trash bag, from home. If she doesn't have to worry that the housekeeping will know what you did, she will be more relaxed.

3. In my opinion, you won't need lubrication. And my own personal dealings with it...it made my period take longer to go away, when it was used.

4. To each their own, but I wouldn't bring up oral activities for this first time. She's gonna be nervous and if she is worried or grossed out by you being down there, she isn't going to be able to relax and enjoy it...so it's waisted effort.

5. If she does wear a tampon during foreplay, or attention to you....have a paper towel/tissues right there on the bed, so that neither of you have to get up - it can just be removed and dealt with later.
Unless you have her tied up....she will probably prefer to remove it herself.

6. The first time you penetrate her....go more slowly then you normally enter her. There is swelling that takes place, because of the repetitive use of tampons and the period itself.
The bright side to the swelling is she will feel "tighter" to you, then she normally does.
