rings vs. thong

I have recently researching (cheap) chastity devices. I have found the five/seven rings of hell devices and i have also found a chastity thong for males. I know that some of you have worn rings of hell, have any of you worn a chastity thong or both? I'm just looking for more information before I make my choice. Are the five/seven rings an effective chastity belt. How do I decide which to buy, five or seven? thanks for any and all help.

I've used/tried several plastic chastity devices with varying degrees of success. Can't say that I've tried any of the clothing style ones like the thong/boxers, et cetera...

I've had several Gates of Hell though. Definitely one of my favorite ways to play. I've had several with metal rings and one which had rubber rings. The rubber one was definitely more suitable for all day play, such as wearing while at work, and with the rings being rubber, there was no chance of any metal clanking or other such noises to raise curious eyebrows. Also, the rubber one I bought was definitely cheaper than the metal ones that I purchased. As you mentioned cheap being a consideration, this might be a good option.

My metal ones were more constrictive, natually, as metal won't budge when opposed by an aroused cock. My rubber one was definitely a little more forgiving.

Regarding the number of rings: From what I remember, the more rings there were, the larger a cock the Gates could accomodate. I recall seeing 3's, 5's & 7's over the years. I just barely had the length to fit into my 5 ring models.
