Saving place...

Post by mystfan45 »

Not sure if this subject has been raised before or not...
Haven't been a registered user long, but love most everything about the site. I say "most" everything, because one feature is driving me absolutely nuts!!! :\'-(
It would be really cool if when a person completed a tease, he could be returned to the point in the list he was at when he selected the tease instead of being returned to the very beginning!!! I enjoy scrolling through the index looking for teases that capture my interest, but when coming back to the page have to go looking for my spot all over again. Can something be done?
Thanks :-)

My only suggestion is to open your tease in a new window or a new tab. So you don't loose the overview. I often forget it but maybe it's a solution for you.

Yeah, that would've been my advice also: Just open the tease in a new window or tab and when you close it you get back to where you were. :-)

I got very frustated too because of this. Now I use Firefox browser, and open a new tab with a right click!!..really cool.I aslo tend to use less and less microsoft explorer..maybe I'm paranoid, but I have this feeling like someone is watching me when I open it.It is my paranoia,or it could be the truth?

Hehe, great! Btw, you can also hold Ctrl while you click the link. Or, if you have a third mouse button, try clicking the link with that. :-)

On behalf of all the webdesigners on this planet: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! :-P

(Internet Explorer is what makes a webdesigner's life hell. It's like teaching a class of children and there is like one retarded drunk kid in the last row so that you have to explain everything twice.)

Well, from a technical perspective I can tell you that if that were the case, Microsoft opponents would be all over it. However, I think there are many good reasons to switch to Firefox other than Big Brother. :-)

I couldnt agree more as a Web Designer myself I think of IE as the annoying little brat at the cinema who keeps through 'white space' (sweets for the non techies!) at you an ruining the whole concept an plot of the film much the same as when using CSS sheets really!!
