Anyone ever thought about trying to start up a porn site? I know, it's probably just my own wishful thinking, but it looks to me like, as long as the dude is in the right jurisdiction and has a good sense of timing and videography, he can get young wanna-be-starlet girls to beg to fuck on camera. Why wouldn't every guy be trying to do this? Why shouldn't I try?

Actually it's really dependent on where you live. (Of course assuming that you do everything legally and that it IS legal in your country to produce porn movies). Most important costs are wages for the models, and costs of advertising. The costs of running the site or video equipment aren't really high nowadays even in eastern Europe where I live. So you need some money to put into in before it starts earning. And, don't foget about the taxes.
You should also consider that the wage for model performing in a kinky video would probably be higher than for the one doing a striptease or just smiling naked (I mean stuff like femjoy or metart). It may be harder to find models too. But if you make it - good luck - female OD is a great unexplored niche in porn market, and the first one to appear on the niche usually wins ;)
Actually I was thinking about running an erotic site for long time before I read your post, but probably not at this point of my life. Maybe in a few years.

I actually have thought about this, inspired by sites such as digitaldesire, joymii etc (the other usual porn is unappealing).
I would need to acquire some video skills to do this

I build websites for a living. I've considered making an adult site as well, but probably something more like an asult store or something like SquareSpace that allows cam models to build their own site or something like that.
