A nice idea might be for Milovana to have user groups (like fetlife has for instance).

Users could create groups based on an interest (or for instance locallity), and be tasked with the moderation of the group they created (optionally, group creation could be permitted on a case by case basis).

Benefits of groups would be the ability for people to socialize outside of the main forum, and possibly in their own language (say, a group for German speakers), without having to resort to off-site means. One could also see a group of tease writers, or for people into CBT, etc.

Ideally each group would have a basic message wall, or even a full message board.

I think groups may split the community apart. Not sure if thats a good idea. Also it won't be that easy to implement ;)..

It would be simple enough to implement, actually. Because the forum is PHPBB3, we could simply create more usergroups.

[nag mode] Well. The Idea would be that users can create their own groups. There are probably finished scripts for phpbb3 that would allow that, but implementing wouldn't be that easy nontheless [/nag mode]

I always thought if the Urge was more easily editable it could allow for such things.
I used to play an oline game called urban dead. its had its own wiki which was an important part of the site.
within the UDwiki you could have groups for different topics and each user also had their own wiki page that they could edit like a profile. For example of a group page http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Lick_The_Prick
kinda silly but i think if something like that was available here, it would be a good way to share interests and link to favourite teases etc...

I agree with green and Indigo that groups can be divisive, but there is another argument which is the most important one from my perspective.

Milovana is not a social networking site. There are other sites that do that very well (such as the mentioned fetlife) and we're neither interested in competing with them nor, indeed, able to.

What we are interested in is taking webteasing and sexual exploration to levels you can't even imagine. And that's what I'm going to put our resources towards.

(That and finally realizing some really long requested features like the FlashTease rating and things like a better search function.)
