Does anyone know if webteases can be saved to a hdd

Post by svargen »

Hi all. I will be heading to an area without internet access soon and would like to know if its possible to save complete webteases to my hard drive for viewing later and how to go about it. Any ideas welcome.

Yes. Webbrowsers have a feature to save pages offline. In Chrome hit Ctrl+s, in internet explorer go to page ... save as... You'll have to click through the tease and save each page.

Mistress D:

Many countries have internet access but many restrict access to certain sites. For example, the country of Kuwait, restricts sites. A buddy of mine purchased wireless internet while in Kuwait. He attempted to access a site (non-porn) and received the message "Access to this site has been restricted by the Government of Kuwait."

China and Iran are also known for restricting access to sites. China restricts pro-democracy sites and Iran sites deemed "anti-Islamic".

In addition, many countries have internet access but it is limited. Afghanistan comes to mind. In 2004, we debated getting internet access for our house but it turned out to be prohibitively expensive. If I I recall wireless was in its infancy at that time. Times may have changed.

I didn't think there was a location left that couldn't reach the internet...
