A well written, slightly fantastical tease with a psycho bitch or two. (see: submatt's characters, often) The kind of girl who'd push you down the stairs because she gets off on seeing you in a cast. Then she giggles, drives you to the hospital, and becomes slightly teasy Ms. Soft-n-loving.... until next time. You'll be her little patient forever!

Well written is more important than the content. An unfortunate majority of the teases here are pretty miserable u-stroke-500-tiem trash. A tease properly written takes on a magic that the others don't.

Also yeah, we need more crazy bitches. Submatt, please come back with your wonderful collection of them.

Personally, I like to see "real" women.
Like on my teases involving Pam "the intern".
I picked a girl who looks like the girl next door: a few wrinkles, hairy pussy and asshole, natural breasts, down to earth.
My teases also involve real consequences, like if a guy cums inside of a woman, she could get pregnant. That is something that kind of fascinates me. Hence the reason why I have it in my teases.
"That was IN-credible!
Thanks, guys.
Oops. I mean bitches." -Melissa from "Restaurant mistress".

"So, what do you say?
Hurry up!
I think the baboons need some new chew toys." - Kyra from "A day at the zoo".

Personally, it's kind of a combination of the two. It's fantasy, but if it doesn't seem like it could really happen, then it loses something. I like hot women as much as the next guy, but I've yet to see a woman so hot that 20 minutes after meeting her, I'd consider begging like a dog to eat my own cum. So regardless of the pictures, the story itself has to carry most of the weight in my book.

If I just wanted to jerk off looking at pictures, why bother reading at all? Put on a slide show and have at it.

Of course my own personal tastes seem to be wildly different than the vast majority of authors around here so perhaps I'm alone in that opinion. I'm not really on board with most of the fetishes that are so prevalent here, so perhaps the particular fetish alone is enough for some of the readers, but for me it's much more about the story. Teases like stroke this many times, stick this here, slap that, do this...etc....just don't cut it for me. It feels more like a list of chores than a tease no matter who the woman is int he pictures.

Disclaimer: I'm not begrudging anyone their particular tastes so don't take offence. The world takes all kinds and everyone is entitled to enjoy whatever they like as far as I'm concerned. Just voicing my own opinion on the matter.

As long as the woman is beautiful I'm happy. As for the story I love the ones where the guy is sweetly tricked into chastity or being denied.

I'm not a big fan of teases that try to get me to do things I wont do.... Seems like there are a lot of teases that want you to fuck yourself in the ass.... Not really my cup of tea.

fantasy vs reality debates are a bit pointless. Both are subjective, both a relative and both can be argued as the other.

Just enjoy what you enjoy, shut up and do as your mistress says.

I think that fantasy is sometimes more fun than reality primarily because there are some things that the mind can go, but the body can't follow.

Fantasy for me.
If one is going to indulge in a fantasy, why limit oneself to places and persons that are conceivably within reach already?
(And if one doesn't need to indulge in a fantasy to get ones kicks, why on earth read this bit in the first place?) :-P

I can only speak for myself, but there's a huge difference between the women I want in my fantasies, and the ones I'd actually like to be with IRL.
For one thing, the fantasy-women tend to be equipped with enough silicone to be able to keep me in water-proof footwear for a couple of decades. :-D
But again, that's just me.
The bottom line however, is that if I wish to fantasize about the proverbial "next-door hottie", I'll open the friggin' window.

Then there's the whole thing about how teases should be construed.
Should it be story-telling, or just plain instructions.
Depends on my mood, to be honest.

Nothing wrong with instruction-based teases, per se, if I'm only in the mood for a "quickie" (for lack of a better term).
On the other hand, the teases that I tend to return to are the ones that weave a wicked web of wonderment.
It's one thing to come up with a scenario and make the user run through the gamut, but if one is able to induce that elusive "willing suspension of disbelief", then the whole thing rises to another level.
The details are actually of less importance than one might think.
English schools, Siberian prison camps, the command-deck of the ISS Suicidal Insanity, or personal foot-slave to Jabba the Slut......
Doesn't really matter if one is able to construct a story that builds on the original premise.

I do however, have one pet peeve when it comes to teases..........
If one is willing to do all that work (and if you've never tried writing to an audience, trust me, it's work *LOL*), and one is willing to post it and thus risk the verbal sticks and stones that invariably follows......
Kudos to you, but......
Do yourself a favor and run the fuckin' thing through a spell-checker first, will ya?
Speaking for myself, there are few things that can kill a mood as quickly as having a Mistress suddenly sounding like an Albanian beet-farmer with an attitude.

Just my two cents.

I have had a fascination with writing for about as long as I can remember really. As such, I have tended to read a lot of different things about the subject. Something that I read once, and I apologize to whomever wrote it because I can't remember where I saw it, stuck out in my mind.

Fiction should be 90% reality, 10% fantasy.

Naturally that's not a hard and fast rule or anything, but the author's point was that in order for readers to be absorbed into the story it should seem like it's "real." Reading through some of my favorite books/stories/etc I've found this "rule" to be pretty accurate, especially in regard to the characters/personalities in the story.

Fantastical things in a story are fine, but people need to seem like people. Their reactions and motivations can't be just some random collection thrown together to move the story forward. They quickly become "fake" and ruin the reality part of the story. A story can't seem real with "fake" characters.

In webteasing, there isn't a lot of character development. They pretty well remain static through out the tease. Nothing wrong with that considering how relatively short the things are, but in many cases authors seem to try forcing a personality that just doesn't "fit." That may not make much sense, but I can't really think of a better way to put it right now. I've also noticed, in many teases, MAJOR personality shifts from page to page. This of course ruins the realism because real people (unless they're insane) don't have huge personality shifts that quickly.

I don't know if any of that is at all helpful to the discussion you are trying to have, but just a couple of my personal opinions/observations.

"Fiction should be 90% reality"
Hmmmm. Gotta remember that one.

It's true that the personalities that are bestowed on characters can seem wrong, but I suspect that this has as much to do with the readers expectations.
Which is what makes creative writing so hard.
One can usually detect that *something* is off, but it can be an exercise in futility to put ones finger on what exactly it is.

But one important thing to remember, is that writing a tease and writing a story are two very different things.
You can't get descriptive in a tease. I don't care how cunning a wordsmith you may be, if you need a page and a half of prose to get your point across, the user has already left before you get to page 2 of the tease.
I've never written a tease, so I'm guessing here, but I imagine that the trick is giving just enough information to get the users imagination fired up.

Think of it as the difference between writing a movie and writing for a TV-show.
In a movie you have 100-120+ minutes to tell a story, usually with a big budget and SFX department etc.
In a TV-episode you 40 minutes, limited budget, and you usually have to make do with what's available.
Same thing with a tease. You're ultimately limited by the images you can find, and you have to fit character introduction, story-line and finale into a very limited timeframe.
Which is also why character-development, as Incubo mentioned, is something to be forgotten.
Nobody goes from Meek-Lil-Bo-Peep to raving lunatic threatening to rip your arm off, and clobber you to death with the bloody limb.

Well, actually I have had a few dates that........ But I digress :-D

As to the fantastic element, it's fine (and even wanted in my case), but there are limits.
No matter weird, twisted, warped and flat-out depraved the world may be, there has to be a certain amount of familiarity.
Not to mention that there are practical issues as well. There are some places where the mind may frolic that the body of the user can't possibly follow. And if one uses toys in the tease, one has to remember that not everyone has access to a fully stocked SM-basement at the drop of a hat.

"To run this tease, you will need a length of chain, 6 ft. of duct-tape, 2 horse-shoes, an MP3-player, cuffs, an eggplant, 2 cats, and a plunger" :\'-(

Apologies for the somewhat disjointed narrative of the above.
Just random thoughts.

Oh, and Indigo....... If you actually stumble across a photo-series depicting an albanian beet-farmer on a spaceship, please inform me.
It would be heart-warming to know that there's someone else out there as fucking mad as me

That's a very good point. While I do rather enjoy the teases that tell a story, there's a limit on how much I want to read before we get to the point. I think they turn out much better if all this information is blended in through out the tease rather than presented in large blocks all together. There are a few very good examples here, but the titles and authors escape me at the moment.

As a rule of thumb, if it takes longer to read the description/story than it does to finish the task given on the page, then it's probably too much at once. I can't speak for everyone else, but that's sort of the "method" I try to stick to. I also prefer to give/get the task up front, so that I can perform it while reading the rest. (Unless the task involves leaving the room or something of course.) It's sort of like she's talking to me while I'm performing for her. Just seems to "work" better in my opinion.

As with any other form of creative expression though, not everyone enjoys the same things and may prefer it another way. That's just the way I happen to like it.

Indigo wrote:So, I was thinking about this while writing my last tease, and wondering: What do the Milovana-ites enjoy more? A completely outlandish fantasy webtease, with a hotter-than-life model? Or something down to earth, with a more "average" looking woman?

So, the question I pose is this: What do you enjoy more? Fantasy, or reality? And why? Do you like fantasy, because it gives you some escape from the day-to-day monotony of real life, or do you prefer something you could relate directly to? Or am I way off base, and there's even more reasons ... (pretty sure there are, I can think of several). Anyways, what's your thoughts???...
For Me, it's not a set in stone answer.
When I am posting pictures for Myself, or others, to "get off" to, then I like the fantasy images to entice and encourage with.
If I am looking at a tease...and see this drop dead gorgeous guy or female....I will either say, "oh brother" and move on...or if I am in another mood, I will say, OH WOW....and it takes Me closer to that peak of pleasure.

If I am in a scene with someone, or just talking with them, I really do enjoy knowing what the person looks like in the outside world. There are many times that as I am speaking to someone, that I pull up their picture, if they have shared it with Me, and it rests on My desktop next to the window I have open.....so that it becomes even more real for Me, then it already was.
I'm a strange one, huh? *giggling*
Indigo wrote:For my part, I enjoy the fantasy. I like using my brain to excite the rest of me, and a well written fantasy type tease, that leads the reader/viewer along, and encourages active thought on my part is what I happen to enjoy most. Then again, I'm also the kind of guy that prefers to read books over watching television, would rather work with my hands than sit behind a desk, and likes riding my motorcycle to taking a long car-ride.

I wonder what that says about me ...
I think it shows that you enjoy getting lost from the every day world and escaping into a place that feels different and warm and cozy. *soft smile*
