Poll: Favorite way of censoring?

While censored porn is not my main fetish, I find it fascinating. However, there seem to be quite a few different styles out there. I have done some examples below. So, very curious to hear your thoughts! What's your favorite way? And: Why? Which important styles did I miss? Feel free to vote and comment!

As for myself, it's definetly black bars because it's the most harsh, intrusive, and "unforgiving".

I think a mix is good. I agree black boxes look the harshest, pixels are more teasing, text can be humiliating on top of the censoring. So for a tease I would fit the style to the story line.

I've gone with pixels here, because it's the classic and most favored style for me.
However, I also really much like the hearts, captions and black bars here. I was never a fan of blurs, because I think you really need to focus to notice the censoring.
Overall, I think the most important thing is not the style, but how decent it is done. If too much is censored, it doesn't look good and if you can spot too much of the censored parts underneath it also takes away the thrill.

One thing that is "missing" here, is black bars with written on it what's underneath them e.g. a black bar over a pussy and then you can read: "shaved and tight pussy". I think this adds even more to the thrill, because you can imagine what is there for others to see, but all you can do is use your imagination.

I like almost every style of censoring, especially when it's done by hand. For auto censors, I'm not the biggest fan of stickers, because it ends up being too random.
What I like about black bars is the way it's absolutely clear you won't see anything. On the other hand, things like blurs and pixels can give the illusion that if I just squint hard enough.... So those tend to capture my attention for longer than very harsh censors.
The type that I "hate" the most/is most frustrating to me, are eye-bars. They just make everything so... I don't know what to call it, anonymous? Detached?

One type I haven't seen mentioned yet is Cropped porn. Where everything you would want to see is kept just out of view. Whether it can be categorized as censored is somewhat debatable, but I think it should. It's a category not everyone is familiar with, so I put a couple examples in below:

I picked blur as my favourite, but like many of the others that have commented, I actually like all of them, with the exception of the heart emoji's.

I also agree that a mix is best, and the type of censoring should match the mood/style/intent of the specific tease. Sometimes black boxes are best, for some teases captions is the way to go, etc.

The PuriFi plugin's "Glitch" setting is pretty nifty.

I also like what they call 'Mormon Porn' where they use a swiss-cheese-like solid color over the image. Gives you next to everything you want ... almost.

So this all sent me down a bit of a rabbit hole. Wound up trying a tool on Itch.io called Beta Blocker, that people seemed to rate.
Ive only given it an initial trial, but it does seem pretty good. plenty of features that seem easy to understand and run smoothly.

Has anyone else tried this? and do you have any tips? or settings packs that you recomend? or even any warnings?

I've not seen this before, but the concept is great!
I dont usually love the Black Bars becuase I like that notion of a "peek" but not able to properly see. Bars with captions has the strictness while also vivdly evoking what you are missing out on. Keen to try it.

Other people have said so too, but I fully agree that different kinds of censor have different vibes.
I quite like a narrative that 'escalates the stricktness' or 'rewards with softer censors' as things develop.
Picking a theme is excellent, but dont be afraid to use other kinds as a contrast to your choice.

No real plan. At least not so far. Just asking out of curiosity and to spark some discussions and maybe get some inspiration for whatever. And that has worked already. Thanks for your comments so far!

I thought that I had done some censors in that direction myself some years ago, but I can't currently find them

I've only ever used the web integrations of purify and beta safety.
As far as I've seen purify is the most advanced of them and someone told me that the other plugins build upon the sources of purify. I can't say if it's the same with this one.
My biggest problems with them are:

1. Too many missed spots (your image barely works with the arm just enough in front of her tits, but often you can see too much for my taste)
2. Tits are censored separately, which I don't like. Often there are options to fuse censored areas together if they are really close, but this also doesn't give the nicely rotated form of a single black bar across them both for example.

Oh, and it works much better if you have a recent and powerful graphics card. Especially for videos

If you looking for a sensor tool, I believe the sensor option of Pinetools are pretty good, especially since you can adjust the blur and pixelisation quite well.

I haven't tried this specific one. But in my experience Puryfi is the best of them all. And even the free version has LOADS of options to customize settings exactly to you own likings. And in combination with their new pure-vision application it is even possible to censor complete screens (not just browser windows), including video streams, with very little lag.

If you want to give it a try, let me know. I can share you an invite to the Puryfi Discord. Lots of tips, trick and settings are being shared there.

It is even possible nowadays to combine and layer different settings and types of censors.

The last time I worked with it, was in January, trying out the screen thing (which was a huge disappointment for me as I'm working with a multi-screen setup and having only one screen censored doesn't give me anything).
The last time I actively handled the censor options is much longer ago, so hearing that it now is able to rotate clustered stuff is really great.
I've also tried with bigger censors in the past for puryfi but it just wasn't giving me good results, because, yes, it then covered everything I wanted to have covered, but then on the other hand it often covered parts (because of the scaling) I especially didn't want to have covered
All in all, it was too much work for me at one point.
But nonetheless I agree with you that puryfi is probably the best tool out there
