I've been working for a while on a project, and today I get to introduce it:

WaveForge! (cue trumpets and confetti in the background)

So what is WaveForge? It's a browser-based audio signal designer made to easily create good stims. I built it because I felt there was a real lack of simple stim-signal-makers out there, and I wanted to try my chances at filling the gap.

The second big feature is Online Play! Basically: once you've designed your signals (I call them patterns and tracks), you pick which ones you want to share, start an online session, get a temporary private link, send it to whoever you want to zap you, and tada,they're driving your stim from wherever they are.

Before I launch my Patreon page and hopefully drop a sweet new tool in your hands, I'd love to grab a few beta testers to try it out, send me feedback, find the broken bits, etc.

Today is the day ! Waveforge is going live :)

WaveForge: a browser tool for designing e-stim audio

Been building this for a while and it's finally good enough to share. It runs in your browser and puts out stereo audio you send to your box through a normal line-out cable. Nothing to install. Here's the tour, screen by screen.

Workshop Build one sound from scratch. Choose the waveform, set the frequency, draw the volume envelope, add modulation if you want it to pulse. This is where a single sensation gets dialed in. Save it and it turns into a reusable block.

Builder Stack those saved patterns into a full track. Lay them out on a timeline, repeat them, run up to three layers per channel, set the intensity per block. This is for sessions that move and change instead of looping one thing forever.

Player Your whole library in one place. Pick a pattern or track, hit play, work the intensity slider live while it runs. Loop it if you want it to keep going. Emergency stop sits right at the top where you can find it fast.

Community Patterns and tracks other people made and put up. Browse by category, play them, vote them up or down, save the good ones straight into your own library. You can publish yours too if you want eyes on them.

Video Compose Load a clip off your own computer and build a stim track timed to it. The video never gets uploaded anywhere. It just sits there as a reference while you work, and you export the stim track on its own to run alongside it however you like.

Online Play Hand someone else the controls. You keep your device plugged in, they drive it from anywhere through a link you send. Chat's built in, you set the hard limits, and either side can kill it instantly.
