How important are tags?

I have mixed feelings about them. Sometimes I feel they are spoiling some of the surprise (especially the "orgasm-denial" and "froced orgasms" ones) but sometimes I am in the mood for something special and want to browse just those. In the later case I'm disappointed if it doesn't contain the advertised material, in the former case I take it as a positive surprise that it didn't turn out as I thought it would.

I find that if it doesn't contain any content relating to a tag the tease has, then I tend to vote lower.

Here's my question. How important are the tags to the viewer? Do you pick and choose which teases you will do by what the tags are?

The only tags i see as real important "for gals" and "for guys"

The reason, since i'm in the minority here...i want to know which ones are written specifically for me.

To be honest, the remainder of the tags don't interest me at this time...if there were 100's of for gal teases, they would become important...

My opinion: I hate them, because there is no suprise anymore. They shouldn't be visible.

I love the tags and think they need to be more specific. Some of the teases are tagged "high heels", which could either mean the girl has high heels in the pictures or you need high heels in order to perform the tease. I also agree that some of the tags should be hidden (or each user should have the option to hide them), and only show them when a "show tags" button is clicked. I still think some tags should be mandatory. If I am going to be expected to put a q-tip in my penis, I might not feel very safe doing that due to infections. To each their own... but I want to know about something like that.

As far as the element of surprise... well, I normally click through just about every tease that comes out without performing the tease. There have been too many times where I have committed myself to a tease, only to be disappointed in the end due to lack of quality or content. So, I like to kind of screen them for myself before performing them. If I like it, I will mark it as a favorite. When I am in the mood for a tease, I will look back at my favorites list and know that I have a list of good teases that I will be satisfied with. By the time I actually end up performing a tease, I will have normally forgotten most or all the content of a tease. So, the element of surprise still exists.

I think theyre very important for searching but I also wish there was a way to hide them so as not to ruin the suprise.
Also I wish there was a way to see a list of all tags that occur in every tease becuase there might be a tease that has the tag "gimp mask" (or whatever) but it doesnt appear on the list of popular tags so I would have to guess and type in "gimp mask" but it might be written "gimpmask" or "gimp_mask" or any variant and then it wouldnt appear in the results

On one level I like the tags
sometimes I do searches on them

However I like the idea of being able to 'turn them off'
Which is probably not easily feasible, but sometimes suprise is fun.
Usually if I want suprise I do a random tease and click on it without reading the tags.

It is possible to do searches on custom tags such as the old -good-tease tag
or the holiday tags, latest example- Halloween
but its far from easy.
I know there is a search engine in forums for tags/ search words I wonder how hard it would be to do the same for custom tags

OR the other option I really like is adding some of the custom to the main search list
So I could just click on -Holiday Teases.

Yes its asking a lot. ( so I'm not expecting it soon-if ever) But I think its a good suggestion

Also as the author if you don't want to tag it- don't.
There is only very rarely anyone who gets upset that there is no tag on a tease.
So its up to you, do you wnat to have people find it with a tag search, or not?
