Why was "Strip poker" Thread locked?

Do you think Milovana.com is perfect in every way? Hopefully not, so what can we do to improve? Every idea, suggestion or criticism is highly appreciated.

Why was "Strip poker" Thread locked?

Post by toybdsm »

I was surprised to see that. Mz_Teneale of course is right but I was just going to say, it goes both ways. Sure I have seen guys looking to play but I can also recall Mistresses seeking fun & those weren't locked. I say just let eveyone talk. If you don't want to it only took 30 seconds to read anyway.

Well I must admit that toybdsm has a valid point. I personally believe that if one can post, so should the other. However, on the flip side of the coin... We all know that anytime a woman here post anything about play time, a majority of the men will respond. 99% when a guy post about being teased on yahoo or whatever it may be. The women do not respond. So it almosts speaks for it's self why so. Obviously every man on here wants to be teased, but not all the women on her are willing at the time. If this was set up as a personal ad site, then the forum would be over run with posts that would never be answered.

But like I said, I believe if one can, then so should the other... maybe just a little responsibility with our choice of words when posting could solve any issues. Thank you toybdsm for bringing it up. I think it should be an issue discussed with the Milovana community to find out what is accepted or appropriate

I locked that thread not for what it was, but because of the person who put that thread there.

He was a newly registered member, he hadnt introduced himself, and his first post was "Any cute girls want to play poker, im hard and ready". Now, i locked that thread because if i hadnt, whose to say countless other guys wouldnt post the same thing. All not contributing to the site, and pretty much making this forum a worse place for the majority of us. Of course, nothing could have come out of it, and eventually the thread might have been ignored and people would have been none the wiser. I think i took the best course of action under the circumstances. Also, something like this happened a few weeks back, and as i recall Dark locked that thread too.

If you have any issues about this dont hesitate to pm me to talk about it.

The thread was not spam (spam is defined as indiscriminate and bluk, the post was clearly tailored to this board).
The request seemed similar to others made on the forum, at least to me.

That being said I agree the likelyhood of the poster reciving a reply was next to nothing. Still...

If your going to enforce rules, those rules should be posted. I just looked over the Terms of Service as well as the various forums here at Milovana, and I don't see an outline for posting etiquette. While the standard FAQ mentions warnings and the like, it also notes that each board sets what is proper content.

Anyway I think if you have something defined you will not see things you have to lock and if you do you can point to the guidelines and people understand much better.

Posts like the one that got locked ARE spam.

They're useless, never going to get a response in a million years, and take up space on the thread listing. There's no reason to keep them. Too often, new people post completely worthless no-content posts similar to the PMs that they spam the ladies with. These should be treated just like the PMs are.

Fully supporting Mz_T on this, though I think deleting it to prevent this mess would have been better.

Thanks graduate for your support on this. I probably should have deleted the post but honestly didnt think such a big deal would be made out of this. I thought people would have seen my point of view is all.. I have deleted the topic now.

I still stand by my decision to stop the topic in its tracks :-)

Topic moved. And all I can say is that teneale acted right. The only fault was to not delete it completely :innocent: I really appreciate her effort
