Chastity Cage troubles (pinched skin)

I'm sure some of you have experienced this as well - there's a certain kind of chastity cage design that promotes the trapping and pinching of skin where the cage meets the cock ring, I'd call it a hinge design, it's very common.

Now I know we're all into every sort of pain but to me this is pretty annoying.

Has anyone found a way around this? I do have other cages but I do like the style of this one, just not the hinge bit.

maybe just strap / tape (i don't know how it's called exactly) to avoid the skin to go in between?

But NOT regular tape

get: Medical tape
it is very inexpensive
and avaiable in pharmacies (at least in usa) and some other stores

to help you know What you are looking for:

It is hypoalergenic.. designed to go next to your skin
and waterproof so you can leave it on a while.. weeks even without difficulty
Yes I have tested it.. the tape that is.

Usually you can wrap a little after device is on.. or.. just before
You can rip it.. in half at the "joint" so when the ring clips the tape ..buffers you a little.
you may need more than one.. layer.. sometimes it takes 2...

If this does not solve your problem
frankly.. you may have gotten the wrong cage...

I haven't used that kind of cage, but I see a likely solution for you that should be very easy.

Get some 1/8 inch cord. Cut a length of about 3-4 inches. When you lock on the cage, slip the cord under that hinge area, above your cock, wrapping it around once and tying it off. That should pull one strand of the cord up into the precise area where you're getting pinched and prevent it from biting your flesh there.
