Let's face it, social media is explosive. Even my grandmother is on facebook and I've had people contact me I haven't seen in years. I've watched the adult sex industry swift a lot as everyone tries to compete in the kinky market place. Including myself.

So I'm curious about you guys.

Do you have a Facebook or Twitter account you use just for your sex activities? Do you follow your favorite models and sex workers? If you do, what do you find entertaining or useful about it?

Finally, how many of you still use Yahoo Messenger or some other chat program?

Well, I don't do facebook, don't have a twitter account and I don't use any instant messaging apps (although I do have a smartphone).
E-mail suits me fine although I did have some "fun" on Skype once.
Then again I'm 67!

Peronally, I experimented with second identity anonymous facebook / Twitter etc accounts just for porn etc But I found it too much of a hassle to memorise so many user names and passwords.

So now I just have the 1 account for each. Facebook is family and friends so I keep that clean. Twitter is a bit more impersonal, more for my political and social justice ravings, plus stalking some celebrities. But I do follow some mfc cam models on there. I have a fairly anonymous Tumblr account for looking at some nice pictures that catch my attention including porn.

I think that Yahoo messenger is obsolete now. I use Viber with my friends.

Simplest answer I can give;

-Social media for social circles,
-Adult media sites for adult entertainment, including sharing with others (milo/alt/fetlife/etc)

It's easier that way to segment which parts of your life you want to share with whom.
For those friends/connections who live in the life of the prudish (still a majority, despite our best efforts), and just don't want to know about sex activities, then they don't have to see it shouted at them by facebook/twitter just for knowing you...

Plus, most sexy folks who have signed up to adult forums, tend to have similar interests, so are happy to share some sexy stories with.

P.S. Older chat programs can still be fine, true. Usually they were well written for a specific task/function, and tend not to be heavily bogged down with the modern-day interconnections with every other social site. Which can suit the idea of different sites for different life activities.
