Hey,

I discovered this lovely site a couple of months ago and played quite a bit of CH or edge/tease videos.

It's fun for me to obey the rules and so I really get into that competitive mindset to not cum before the video tells me to.
And herein lies the problem for me, because once you reach the end, a lot of videos either have only facecum-scenes, a countdown that does nothing for me, or those masturbation instructionals.
So I find myself in a situation where I play the whole thing and then rewind to a scene which I find extremely hot and then try to cum to that. At that point I'm so entranced in the beat and music that I can't not follow the beatmeter... and so I just become frustrated and numb after playing those 50+ min ones.

Maybe it has to do with my technique, before playing CH I'd pretty much use a full hand and don't let the head be exposed (I'm not circumsized). I guess I have gotten really good over the years to reach a satisfying orgasm that way.
Doing any of the 30+ minute CH videos on the other hand, I'll mostly use 3-4 fingertips with lots of lube. And even if I use a full hand at the end I'm struggling to reach the same orgasm that way (with fully exposed head).

I do enjoy all kinds of CH/edging videos very much, but I'm wondering how you guys are "handling" the climax?
Perhaps I should just watch the hot parts muted with a different music or watch a single scene elsewhere..

Coming back to my inital point, I do see a lot of videos trying to emulate a typical scenario where you have some foreplay, warmup, some action and then a cumshot. Of course this concept is the first that comes to mind when designing an overall arch, perhaps. And it just feels right in editing, to use bits and pieces of entire scenes... including the ending.

But is it a good concept? As I said I enjoy playing those videos by the rules, but the endings always ruin it for me.
Often times the hottest scenes are in the middle instead of being the climax of the video... did I say I'm not a fan of cumshots?

What do you guys think?

Hi onthebeat, you're right about the reward rounds being very similar. The only one slightly different that comes to mind is Slappy's CH - Squeezeplay. It does have some of the things you mentioned not caring for but without spoiling it, I'll just say it's worth checking out if you haven't seen it.

Aside from that you could always make your own reward rounds - I don't mean literally. Just take a song or CH round you like, along with whatever scene you prefer. Keep the beats in the background (for a CH vid having just the beatbar visible at the bottom works) and lay your other scene on top in a seperate video player or browser window if you stream. For the browser stuff, you can use the zoom function on Windows (ctrl + mousewheel) and some creative frame resizing to set it up (you might get some skipping on higher zoom, depending on your computer).

You can make entirely new CH's to your taste this way if you want to go further - though it's got some drawbacks. Your mileage may vary on the synching end. The additional audio - moans or whatever (if the CH vid creator kept it) can also be hit or miss. And of course the time to put together music/scenes might be a mood killer - which can be partially negated by having some favorites saved before you start.

In any case, totally understand where you're coming from with this, hope my suggestion helps.

I have to concur with you Onthebeat. Generally the only time I cum during a cumshot scene is during a CH video. If I'm watching general porn I never wait until the finale, it tends to be towards the mid-end of the scene where things are a bit rampant

I guess the same could be said if the final scenes leading up to the climax contained models you generally didn't find attractive. That has happened to me LOADS of times. I love the Flux series of CH videos, along with Champions of Cocknia, they tend to be my "Go-to" CH videos. That said, some of the final scenes with JOI and edging do absolutely nothing for me and I too have then flicked back to a round I thought was hot or swapped to some completely different porn all together and used that to finish my self off, and it can be dissatisfying to have to clamber through your porn when your at the point where you just wanna burst.

There have been some CH videos that have either multiple "chances" to cum in the final rounds or have "reward" rounds where you're allowed to cum at any point in the round (I forget which ones though...). When I was gathering feedback for my first CH video, I asked about a having a reward round and the few people that spoke out were actually against this kind of round. A lot of people like the countdown and being told when they have to splurge.

It would be nigh impossible to make a CH video that caters to everyone. As is the case with my latest one, a fair few people have found the sharp sudden cuts I used in the video to be off putting, and yet I love the over stimulation aspect of it.

I guess one way to do it would be to make a solid CH video up to the final round, then have multiple final rounds as separate video files so people could make a playlist and choose the ending of their choice. (this has actually given me an idea for any future plans ) Or maybe make every round have a "chance" to cum at the end of it, say maybe 10 rounds as separate files each with a 30 second countdown at the end. Stick em all in a playlist in VLC and play through them till you get to one you want to cum too...?

I also find face shots to be much less than the hottest part of most porn, of any type, and usually skip back a ways and continue on with my own rules till my finish.

They all depend on whether or not (a) I find the chick hot, and (b) the chick is making the dude cum. If the dude is whacking off, I don't really give a shit what he does. But if the chick is whacking the dude off, then I love it. On Empornium this type of action is tagged as "female completion" which is, in my opinion, simply a mandatory part of any cum-shot. If you show me a non-female-completion shot in which there IS completion, my only reaction is, "why the hell would I want to watch a dude whacking off?"
