Teaseme for Mac

Post by Hottness33 »

I have tried searching the fourms for a link to download Teaseme for Mac. I have searched to no avail, does anybody know if there is a working link for macs?

GuideMe does work for me on the Mac. There were a few odd things that needed fixing before I got it to work though. If I remember correctly, I just had to change the file location reference pointers from the "\" symbol to the "/" symbol (i.e., "directory\subdirectory\file.jpg" became "directory/subdirectory/file.jpg"). Or something like that, anyway. I just opened the XML file in TextEdit and did a search and replace. I recommend anyone who tries that to first make a copy of the original—just in case something goes wrong.

Many of the files from TeaseMe work in GuideMe. Although I am much more eager that some tech-savvy pervert makes an executable version of 1886's new AI program for the Mac. I know it is a relatively straight-forward process, but attempts to make a wineskin version of something less complex failed for me, so I wouldn't even dare to try.

Alright, every time I try to find a link to download guide me, it just takes me back to the teaseme fourm. Maybe I'm just stupid.

The main down loads are in the first post in the thread
Kong and Takenaga have both posted working versions on mac
Also holodoc99 did some work on trying to intigrate it better.

GuideMe is designed so it can work on Mac, unfortunately all my kit is windows based so ironing out the issues is difficult.

the intention is to have a fully working mac version, but I am a bit limited in what I can do to achieve that

Confirmed.
I am working some Mac-related fixes, like menu bar/quit handler and wrapping GuideMe into a Mac app.
I do have a handcrafted locally working version, but need to get the app creation automated.
Hopefully, I can finish that in the next 2 weeks.

I made a buggy but simple Mac OS application for version 0.1.3 of GuideMe, you can find it here.
