Hell Hath No Fury 4: Kylie

Post by doink »

Utterly gorgeous model, she's "to die for." The text? much too long, too involved, too detailed, got lost in it. These are teases, right, not novels? Sorry. ---Doink.

Thank you, first of all, for sharing your opinion. Good or bad, kesbabev and I are having a lot of fun with this project and we appreciate any and all input!

I think jp is very right when he says there's no template for what a tease should be. There are countless instructional teases at Milovana, the vast majority of which are simply outstanding. There's no shortage of great content here.

I've never contributed a tease here before, despite lurking around since Milovana's conception. I never thought I could do a better job than the authors here, and was never awfully compelled to try, though it did look like a lot of fun!

If I may pimp a couple of teases here, specifically the now lost Ex series, the Conversation series and the recent Next Door Neighbor series, these are some favorites of mine, and I appreciate what they accomplish in terms of motivation. Me personally, I find teases so much more fulfilling when there's a story I could get caught up in.

I was recently very inspired by two things. The first was the style brought forth by kesbabev's Breaking You series, which was high on narrative and I thought greatly executed. The second was a recent post by slavechylde describing Jenna's contribution as a tease author. (His description which can be found here: http://www.milovana.com/forum/viewtopic ... 416#p11140)

It really inspired me to create something unapologetically, to simply write for the sake of doing something new and creative, in this case the joint effort with kesbabev. It may not be for everyone, and that's okay. we're not shooting for TOTM, per se, just to have a good time, and so far we're having a blast. :trampoline: If a few other Milovana members have fun along the way as well, even better!

So again, thank you for you input, it is greatly appreciated. Now that you know my mission statement, just have fun, gleam anything you can, and our exhibitions of text will yield way to authors that will write teases you'll absolutely love in short order, I'm sure of it. :-D

In response to "Doink" I would have to say, first, thank you for your critique. I sometimes get lost in the narrative. That being said, if a user were to look at the titlebar heading on the top of the webteasing page, it does indeed say "Free Stories with Sexy Pictures." Yes, The Edge and I are collaborating, in an attempt to bring something new to Milovana users, and yes, it is designed to be part tease, part story. I apologize for the long narrative, and will attempt to cut down some of the detail in the future.

Sorry if I seem somewhat defensive, as I am sure anyone that has created a tease goes, and as I'm sure anyone who has read my work can guess, a lot of heart goes into my writings. I therefore sometimes feel the need to justify. Sorry again (for the long narrative.)

I'm with Doink. I write my teases as a story too, but I found this series too wordy, and too much text per page. I liked the story, but I just didn't have the patience to read everything after the first 5 pages or so - it just didn't hold my attention. I wanted more visual stimulation! :-)
