Nyx FlashTease Editor Finding Images Help

Post by MontSpam »

After uploading 13 photos using the "Media", I am unable to see them after I go to the "Visual" page and click on "Select Image", so I can't add them to my various pages.

I tried not to upload them, but just get them all lined up in "Media", but I still can't see them there unless I first back out of "Media", for example by going to "Visual", and then back to "Media", at which point the images aren't visible unless I click on "Upload File(s)", in which case I see the file names, which I haven't uploaded.

When I upload them, it is very clear that they are being uploaded, but I still can't find them from "Select Image" under the "Visual" tab.

Also, in one tease that I deleted, when I hit the "preview" button, I could not see all of the text that I'd typed, though it was visible under the "Script" tab.

Any thoughts?

I'm using the Firefox browser on a Mac and have the latest FlashPlayer 9 activated.

Browsers Used

Post by MontSpam »

I add that I tried using the following browsers to do a webtease through the normal milovana channel, but was unable to upload an image, and, therefore, could not proceed with the tease:

Safari
Firefox2
Camino
Microsoft Internet Explorer

I am use the Mac OS X operating system and use Flash Player 9, which works with all of the browsers except for Internet Explorer. Apparently Adobe does not support Microsoft Internet Explorer anymore under a Mac platform, unless it's the OS 9 platform, a "classic" or "legacy" operating system.

When I tried using Microsoft Internet Explorer, it immediately indicated that I lacked a "plug-in" in the photo upload section. When I went to add the plug-in, it took me to a "classic" page, which would have uploaded Flash Player 7 or lower, which I wasn't about to do in the OS X environment.

Any thoughts from a knowledgeable programmers or anyone else on how to overcome the inability of Macs to upload photos? Milovana clearly has a small minority of Mac users, but we would all like to add teases.

Thanks.

Of course it's important for us that also Mac Users can use all the features on this site. It would be good if other Mac Users could post if they have problems, too.

I hope we can fix that soon :-) Thank you for your feedback.

Seems to be the same bug reported here. Because of the number of people who obviously have problems with this issue I'll try my best to fix it. Unfortunately it's not easy since I don't have a Mac and I also have no idea what could be causing the problems. Any hints would be very welcome!

It's possible that there is a plug-in missing, or the upload program is not recognizing that a Mac is sending it an image.

Is there another way to upload or add an image?

Usually, with a Mac, I can simply drag an image to the spot where the "browsed" photo is supposed to be and then upload the file. I could not drag an image to that part of the tease program.

Sorry, no. :-(

And at the moment I'll have to fully devote what little time I have to fixing Nyx.

On the positive side, I now have a Mac that I can borrow for testing so I'll sort this out first thing in January! :-)
