I respectfully disagree with you. Might I suggest doing a google search on "adoption story or stories". Read some things from people that signed "contracts" to get their child. It is every bit as "good" to them as it is for a mom and dad that went through child birth.Nezhul wrote: As for why it'll be less of a child (I just don't know how to say that properly, I of course don't mean it'll be less human), it's just when a child is done through lovemaking, and then both parents experience the challenge of pregnacy (It affects a husbend too), and then the child is born while the husbend is smoking nervously in the hall of a clinic... and both parents hold it then and know it's their own flesh, that just hours ago was still growing inside of her virtue...
Anyway if you ask me that's just creates more of a link, than receiving a child from a fake mother by contract, or adopting it, or making it in a science lab (men can't be pregnant for a looong time still, they simply lack the needed organs).... All of it is just not the same. It's a WAY, of course. But it's not as good as having your own child from your own women.

I dont know. For me personally - I couldn't accept adopted child as my own. As some nephew to take care of - maybe, but not my own flesh and blood. I know there are people who develop strong attachement to adopted children, and I won't actually argument my views because maybe I'm just different of them. Maybe they do love children like their own. All I could say is that I actually can't understand a person who'd prefer adopting a child instead of making their own. Such cases present, I know, when healthy pair adopts children. But I believe there are many reasons in their lives to do so. Life may be just too complicated to actually go through pregnacy and then nurse a small child, so a lot of people adopt more grown up children to skip the hard phase. Some adopt of pity too.
But personally I can't imagine a healthy who can say with a straight face: "I prefer growing up an adopted child, not my own flesh and blood." or "I don't care". Maybe there are such people, but then I simply can't and probably won't understand the reasoning.

If you'd read my post, I was talking about healthy people and described a few reasons. Of course for people who cant have children it's the only way.

Some people just want to help those less fortunate.
Even on this site not everybody's wants and desires are the same.
