webcam help

Post by Snare »

I can't seem to get my webcam working in chat, I can stream sound but not video. I was wondering if there was a plugin or program that had to be downloaded in order for my webcam to be used properly. I have a strong computer-based background so I don't want to hear answers back that sound like "Is your webcam on?" or "Did you unclick the box to show video?" I am also on my second webcam which is a lot higher quality than the first one I have owned. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also can you tell me how to attach a signature to my forum posts?

Is your webcam on?
Did you unclick the box to show video?

:-P sorry, that was to easy.

Anyway, do you only have problems on the milovana chat or does this problem occur in all programs which should show your webcam? (the basic question is here really, does your computer recognise your webcam and/or is the correct driver installed?)

Only on milovana chat do I have this problem. my skype works fine with it and it records normally. I just downloaded the drivers for it and updated them this morning and my computer does recognize it as a webcam.

problem is solved.

For other user encountering the same problem; you might have the wrong webcam selected, press rightclick in the window where your camera is supposed to be and select the correct camera under the tab hardware.
