Chat Etiquette

Post by SexualChoc »

Safe, Sane, Consensual.

Now there is a fine line between reality and fantasy that is not always to define.
And talking fantastically about doing impossible things is fine.

But I have received reports
of someone asking people to do REAL things that are dangerous, illegal, and/or deadly.
like self -bondage with NO way out.
Self bondage is fine but safety is very Important
permanent injury and/or death can result from improper bondage.
Just read "Gerald's Game" by Stephen King
so if anyone asks you to actually tie your self up in such a way that you can not release yourself
AND you have no one to call for help. this person is putting you at risk.
(1) do not follow such instructions
(2) I would appreciate, as a moderator you reporting such instructions to me because I believe this falls under
"Reckless Endangerment" as in fact an Illegal activity.

Next I have received reports of an individual giving out Dom/Domme Instructions and individuals getting caught up in those instruction BUT they felt they Never consented to the instructions.
now this is a VERY gray area. but if you EVER feel like consent has been violated
(1) Stop! tell the person so.
(2) they should stop giving you Instructions/assignments as quickly as they possibly can
(3) negotiate or talk to the person so no ones feeling are hurt
this can easily lead to a 'rape' scenario and has so many gray areas.... It is exceedingly based on how you FEELS so if it feels wrong. STOP!
that has always been the rule here NEVER do anything you do NOT want to or that feels "uncomfortable"
weather it be in a tease or in chat.
Though it maybe a good idea to talk this out with the other person.
if this does not work <block> is a good way to ignore them.

I know that some Dom/me's can be quite compelling.
if you are unsure ask a friend, or someone else you trust.
Or just take a day off, while you calm down and take stock.

One thing everyone who reads this should keep in mind when dealing with the BDSM world is this;
The only sovereign you should allow to rule you, is reason.

Use your reasoning to determine if the situation you are in is hazardous to you and your health.
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck. It is a duck.
If it feels wrong, looks wrong, and reads wrong. It is wrong.

I may not always be on, but like with SC. Do not hesitate to inform me of anyone who does ether of these. They will be dealt with in the proper fashion.

Being a Dom/switch, I completely agree with letting the other person know that they are going too far. I have dommed a few of you and most of you know that if I push a limit, I will understand and give you a task within your limit. Given I have only been here for about two weeks I feel like you guys (and gals) are family, and family doesnt push each other past their limits. I'm sorry if this seems like spam but iI wanted my opinion to be heard. Thanks for listening :-D
