I would like to point out that this entire site is 100% free content. And it's all provided by the users. So yeah, statistically, you're going to run across some things that you're probably not very fond of. Unfortunately, that's kind of the way of things ... you have to put up with the chaff, to get the wheat, so to speak. So while you're all critiquing the site Admin for not removing the one pagers, or pointing out the myriad flaws, take a moment to also realize that you're getting an awful lot, ... for free. Yeah, I'm not always fond of certain things either, but come on ... members provide *all* of the content here. If it starts becoming the jobs of a few chosen people to just choose what's acceptable, and what's not ... you end up with content that *we* like, that you may not agree with. Pretty soon, the site reflects the desires of the few, and not the many.

It is, the way it is, for a reason folks.

So it would be acceptable for me to create ten one page teases of different types on the same day, seeing as there would be no enforcement on the kind of content and how much of it is put out there. Since it is the way it is, right? Cool, I'll keep this in mind...

This attitude makes me very glad that we don't have censorship here. Would you want to remove my teases because in your opinion they are just stories? Keep in mind that hundreds of people seem to really like them and rate them pretty highly... And because of this kind of feedback, I have also tried to include instructions for those readers, who have little imagination and didn't think how to play along by themselves, so now I think that even stories should be considered "proper" teases with instructions.

Agreed- complaining seems a bit silly. But nonetheless, why not have the option for the user to filter by rating, ordered by date (ie, show only teases with a certain rating or above)? That would be a 1 time action on the part of the administrators and would make a big difference while not censoring any content. Is it just a lot harder than I'm assuming it is to program this? Is there some down side to this I'm not seeing?

Have you checked the webtease section recently???? Yesterday was 5 out of first 10 webteases 1 page only....... today its 8 out of first 20 webteases...... Im lurking for some years now at Milovana , but it was never this bad.

....and what do you know, they are gone again...seems some people just posted some more good teases and they have gone away...

I would like to say again...you don't have to do them...you don't have to read them... you don't even have to look at them...you know its bad..don't open it.

Also to though who say the teases are making the site a worse place. What do you think a first timer would dislike more? A handfull of bad teases? Or near constant arguments on the fourm?

Well, I agree, that the topic has been discussed enough for now.
I'm also quite sure, we will have the same discussion again, if teases like those start piling up again on the front page.
What I don't understand is, why we should PM Seraph0x about that. Unless I really think there has to be some immediate reaction, I wouldn't do that. He's probably aware of the discussion. And while I criticise the people, writing those teases, and would support some action against them, I know, this is a free site and Seraph0x puts a lot of work into it. So if he wants to react, he can, if he doesn't want to, cause he has a different opinion or just thinks, it's not worth the effort, that's up to him.
There really is no need to pester him with PMs about that.

And there is no option to filter by rating, btw. Only a option to sort by rating. So it's quite difficult to find the last 10 or 20 highly rated teases. Sorting by rating is not that useful, after you've been using the site for years, because you will know most of the highly rated stuff. What you're looking for, is the great stuff that was added in the last few weeks you didn't have time to visit the site.

I don't think I could disagree with you more. I enjoy the story teases far more than the instruction based teases.

This is a great opportunity to point out how different people have different tastes. Its clear the one page teases are not very loved but I'm still sticking with my first post. I'd much rather browse though the teases I don't like to find the ones that I do like instead of having someone else filter the teases that are available to me by removing the ones they don't like.

More filter options are great but the reason everyone is pushing for them is pretty annoying. We should be suggesting more features and options on the site to improve the community... Not to stop the bullshit as you say.

Here are some ideas I would like to float. I am 100% willing and able to help implement these ideas (when I have the time to do so or someone is willing to free up my time by financially unencumbering me for said time).

1) Add a social networking aspect to this site. I could do this very easily. This would remove the incentive to make these sort of teases, and would allow milovana.com, which already has a large user base, to directly compete with sites like fetlife and collarme.com. Milovana has a higher quality core user base and definitely a better core site staff base than either of said sites.

2) Take some notes from slashdot.org:

• Allow users to set a minimum tease rating. Teases below this rating will not be displayed to the user. (Addendum: a tease should have a "virtual" rating which causes all visitors to see it until some practical amount of visitors have rated it)
• Allow users to specify filter tags. As in, a user can specify a list of tags, and teases with these tags will not be displayed to that user.
• Monetize the site by displaying ads. Don't display ads to users who have contributed to the site in some significant way.
• Make some deals with like-minded and ritewise organizations. Supportmywish.com (although the owner is a total bitch), lovepoetrycoresets.com (very nice feitsh clothing made by a real domme, whom I know well), Melissa Picardi (a well known US DJ and pro domme), and kink.com/Madeline (who loves the idea behind this site). Do some link/traffic sharing and maybe some sort of profit sharing.

3) Take advantage of the new adult career opportunities the digital/info age brings us. For example, there are hundreds of "camgirl" sites. Why not utterly crush them by creating a "camgirl union" and providing them a platform (payed by union dues, not percentage of wages). Has no one thought of this???

I have many more ideas, including things such as vibrators controlled over bluetooth via android phones by web page, and all that sort of stuff. Just let me say this: I used to be one of those scary blackhat hacking mofo's you all phear and hear about. A goddess has come into my life and realigned my outlook on things. Let me contribute. I have a wealth of talent, knowledge, and resources (come to the dark side, we got botnet mofo!!!) I am willing to contribute to this ideal and community.

Ok, I said if those tease kept appearing we'd look for a solution, so I've got two ideas. Chosen partly by virtue of being quick to implement as I'm still very much strapped for time at the moment.

1. Add a new tag "personal". The problem is, if we make it hidden by default, people probably won't use it voluntarily. Maybe if we feature it somehow, but then that would give those teases more exposure than they get now. Are there any people in favor of these around, willing to post their side of the story? Any solution you want to suggest?

2. Most of these teases are rated below 2.0. We could add a feature that teases with a rating under 2.0 are hidden by default, with a little link to un-hide them. Similar to how YouTube handles spam comments.

I think that both are are good ideas and should be used in tandem,

The the personal tag will help those looking for "ADS",
         and the under two hides bad teases as well.

I have one caveat though,
         a minimum number of votes is required to hide a tease,
          to prevent "naughty voting"

My vote is for both and see how it goes for a week or two.

I would have to agree with les that both would be ideal for the same reasons he mentioned. However, if one of the two ideas had to be implemented, I'd prefer the second over the first. I just don't think the people causing the problem would do anything themselves to make their postings less visible, especially if they knew the "personal" tag would make their advertisements hidden by default.

I think that moderation by some volunteers is really needed. Indeed, if we do that, then I suggest that each of these teases should be converted to a forum post, in the "looking for a Dom" thread, and the tease deleted. Then send the person responsible a PM telling them that it's our rule that such things should be posted like that in the forum. The terms should also be changed to reflect this.
