Facility to upload GIF image..

I think there should be a facility to upload custom thumbnail as animated GIF image, so that most of inside images of a tease can be viewed at main page only. And site will also look attractive.

GIF is limited to 256 colors by image. It is sometimes enough for drawings, but for pictures, It generally sucks
(ex 1 : dithered)
(ex 2 : quantized)

(PS : I need only a picture of a puppy, and with a flower and a balloon ,this will be the prettiest cleanest thread of the whole forum)

Actually my idea was to upload animated picture as a custom thumbnail for whole tease at front page. I dont know how and what is to be done for this. But it will be very good to have facility like this.
