My profile shows les
My writing shows Les.

When I first joined this site I was lesub.
I did not understand the small l as a sub.
Though a sub I was.

Over the years as I have developed.

I realised that while I have submissive tendances.
I also have dominant tendances as well.

So for most of the time I am neutral,
With small swings either way.
Then there are times I will be either fully Dominant or fully submissive.

If I am in a fully dominant role am I Lord Les, a name I have used from time to time?
If I am in a fully submissive role do I bring back lesub, (I always pronounced it as les sub)?

But what do I do about neutral?
Now how do I cope with the slash speak protocols?

Finally? then there is Uncle Les or U/Les,
This is when I help people with problems.
Many of you have benefited from me in this role.
And those will remain nameless by me.

Oh what a Mucking Fuddle.

Les

I also consider myself a switch. When I chat on IRC, I normally default to a capitalized nickname, even when I am not being actively dominant with someone. It prevents unwanted attention from random Dom/mes. If I am actively being submissive to someone, then I use a lowercase nickname. Not sure if that helps, but thought I'd try.

Yes SC I agree there are times when a general chat is all that's wanted.

Further thoughts
tennisbuff, dr.d. are Doms.

SexualChoc is a sub.

Are there any other protocol contradictory names?
Are there any other switches and how do they write their names?

I chose that it's not too important, but it would be nice if it were adhered to. that said I'm mostly sub myself  . I think the biggest factor is where you are/what site you are at. I come here to read the teases not be be dominated. While I have filled out the "looking for a Domme" thread I'm only interested in online, not the real thing. So I don't think it should matter in the least on this site, but if you are on a site that has plenty of both (like alt.com or bdsm.com <are they the same thing?>) I think it would be nice if people had the courtesy to capitalize or lower case their names respectively I have done it one yahoo (accidentally) and on bsdm.com
Sorry for the lengthy post just had to say what I felt.
Quaz.

Don't see any need in it. The only thing needs to be capitalized is "I" and that is just because "i" doesn't look good enough. As for names - I don't care.

But what's the relation of this and the thread name? I'm completely dominant, yet I place no weight in capitalisation at all. You acn call me nezhul or Nezhul - what's the difference? Everyone can still understand it right?

While W/we are definetly NOT Subs.. W/we sure can be D/dom/mes or subs..

I/i as a switch take much consideration to the caps lock so when Y/you see me You can know i'm a sub and when Y/you see Me Y/you can know I'm a Domme.

I/i definetly hate when people say "miss tigerlily".

Nice lily and nice body on a pic ;-)
I'd say I tend to be a switch too, to an extent, but never found a girl who'd wish to dom me, and I don't crave it so never tryed to be a sub. But as a fantasy being a sub is interesting.

But I don't hold any weight in capitals eather way =\

Les, you knew I would have to put my input in on this one, huh? *grin*

Before I came to Milo, the many other chat rooms that I spent time at, and yes there were way to many...*giggling*...the upper and lower case name thing was very important.
If you were Dominate, your name was began with a capital letter. If you were submissive, you best by God, use lower case.

This is the only site I have been to where that protocol is not adhered to.

For me, it was just easier and saved questions from being asked. The name let you know to W/whom you were speaking to. Here, I never know who's who and I always feel awkard in first meetings, because I do not know how to address someone.

***

I am what others refer to as a S/switch. I am not fond of that term, but deal with it. What I feel inside is not what others seem to feel, that are "S/switches." For me, it's not like a light switch that can be turned on and off quickly. It takes minutes for the transition to take place inside of me.

I am also one of the few S/switches that has a different name instead of simply changing the first letter from lower case to upper case. My Dominate side is Lady X. Currently She is in shadows, allowing me to enjoy all that life offers in my relationship with Master.

****

As to my name, when I joined Milo, Lady X had already been here and then became quiet. By that time Master and I had began to get to know each other outside of Milo. I had a desire to socialize with Him here as well, so I joined, something I had never planned on doing. I did not cap my name when I joined.

Shortly after, Master instructed me to cap my name in correspondence and to use "I" instead of "i" and so forth. He wanted me to know that He sees me as a person to be treated with respect. That is why, in case Y/you wondered, except for rarely, I join Him on His daybed in the chat room, instead of kneel on the floor, in front of Him.

At first that was really hard, changing my name and upper and lower case, not so much when W/we were alone, but more so when W/we were here. I always felt as if people thought I was being disrespectful.

***

So those are my thoughts and the story of why I am submissive but do not lower case myself, except for my "permanent name" associated with my log on.

Yes, it would be nice to know who is who in the chat room, from the get go....but I'm getting used to it, slowly. *soft smile*

But, but...I told You I was sorry for calling You Miss!!! *giggling*

I was mortified that I had said that...what a dozen times, before You said something. But it wasn't even me You said it to...it was someone else, and I saw it and couldn't apologize fast enough. *blushing*
I guess You didn't say anything to me cause I'm special huh? *giggling* *flashes my award winning smile at You* *grin*

He wanted me to know that He sees me as a person to be treated with respect.
Well I'd have to place my remark here. In my opinion, ANY dom who doesn't think the same is a miserable person himself. To start with, real dominant people in real relationship do not need to point out their suprimacy with such a silly meens. :-|
And moreover, any relationship, if it is to last more than a few months, should be based on respect to each other. Even if you play out a wothless slave and a cruel master, there's still respect and care behind those fetishes. If there isn't, than that's not a relationship. Even if a dom gets his/her slave too clean a toilets naked for him, or humiliate sub in any way, he still cares about that person. Good dom, that is.

Now sorry, it's just that the whole topic irritates me, and I met people who think otherwise before, and I don't like them. I'm glad you have a good, adequate master.
