And by slow I mean like One stroke every 3 or 4 seconds, real slow.
True enough, and also play around a bit with how you stroke when being near the edge... Of course, some times a tease will have strict instructions for that - how you stroke to keep on the edge can make a huge difference in how it feels - and that's often intended...
But whenever you are free to choose, and as long as you have troubles with control, it is a good idea to start out with minimum stimulation, just using a couple fingers and staying away from the head when being near the edge. It's a lot easier to both control the "approach" as well as staying real close without accidents if you use a controlled and minimal type of stimulation. A full grip with full stroking movements will be a LOT harder. Some times you are required to tho, and the only remedy to help there is pace - slow, slower, slowest... This is probably highly personal and varies for everybody, but I for one can easily maintain an edge with a full grip without visible motion at all. Merely squeezing or moving the hand so extremely little that it can't even be seen can be enough to keep me there if I am close enough in the first place.
Bottom line is experience and knowing yourself I believe. For my own part, I learn new things about myself virtually every single time I do a tease. Often because of the input/ideas others present through their teases, but also partially from my own analysis, based on previous failures and desire to improve myself.
So... play with yourself and learn to know yourself as much as you possibly can! It makes you better at both playing with yourself as well as with a partner.
