Yes, I think this is an advantage in a sense of very long webteases. People who don't like it will tend to give up early and thus not rate it. So the only people who rate it will tend to be the ones who really liked it.
So in a sense the ratings don't mean as much for such a long tease.
This might explain why some of these get nominated for Tease of the Month but don't win that...
is now rated 4.6 and rated 8th among all webteases.
Now on March 24, after more than 8000 views, this webtease, "Erica: Teasing Ex-Fiancee and Housemate", is back to rank 8th among all webteases. I have made a few small edits to improve it slightly.
So if you haven't tried it, please do so and enjoy, and if you have tried it, you might enjoy it again.
won Tease of the Month for March 2010. for your votes on that.
And in gratitude for the fine reception that this tease has received (now ranked 5th on the site),
I have posted the first sequel (there are more in the works), which is:

It really kept pushing my buttons again and again...!
It did this tease 2 times now...
The first time - right after it was posted - I was lucky to have plenty of time, and although I wondered after awhile: "Hell - doesn´t this come to an end ?", I couldn´t help but go on and on and on, as I was totally captivated by the story.
Well - I ended up, breaking any speed-limit on the highway, because I had to get to work on time and left my apartement late.... ;)
Although I had lots of time - I still wasn´t able to stop. Your tease just made lose track of time.
The second time I did it, was when you published your sequel.
As about a month had passed since then, I felt like I had to do it again, to get into the story again.....
This time, I couldn´t do it all at once, but had to quit at some point and return later that day...
The tease was still as fascinating, as the first time and I still have no idea, which parts you edited... ;)
Someone wrote, some parts of this tease seemed to recur - and I agree to this....
But - and I comply with the guy who wrote the above - those recurrences never made your tease boring, but got me deeper into the tease, as I fell deeper and deeper into the protagonist´s mind.
In the meantime, I enjoyed your sequel as well (again, I had to save the page and continue later on... ;)),
and I liked it as much as the first part !
This tease just pushes my buttons...
Hell ! I absolutely want to be that guy ;) !
Great work cactusman !!!
Such effusive praise! Thank you very much. I appreciate it.
Well, this web tease is getting a lot of views, being TOTM (over 14000 now, April 17). And it seems to bounce up and down in the top ten ranked webteases some, but right now it's fourth overall and has a rating of 4.6.
My theory is that some people are working through it and not quitting but are finding it too long, so every so often it's getting a rating that is significantly lower than a 5. But this seems to be offset by the people who do seem to like it to some extent...
Anyway, that's all speculation. I'm still very pleased with all the comments and the great reception this webtease has had. Thanks!
Well, due to some bugs on this site, this tease no longer appears in the TOTM spot on the home page, but rest assured it is the tease of the month for March 2010.
And last I checked this had moved up to the second highest ranked tease on this site...

And now the site is fixed and all restored, thanks to Seraph0x.
