Nice site! ..now here's a suggestion

Post by enigma7 »

Hi folks,

Thanks for a great site, you guys are to be commended for all your hard work.

I have only joined today but I must confess to being a distant observer for a few weeks.

For the moment, my contribution will be this suggestion, sometimes not every user wants to be control of things so how about adding a random tease generator. No, I do not mean new teases but rather that the Mistress of the random tease generator introduces herself and then pick a tease at random from either the classics or even the newest collection.

That way the user must abide by the mistreses decision and comlete the tease with no cheating!

I hope this suggestion is useful, please let me know what you think.

Great idea. There is a lot of other stuff planned, but this I will definitely add to the list. And it's not very complicated to realize either.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you, seraphox. I am pleased that my suggestion could be useful.

While I am here, I must send my regards to avatar86, the creator of the House of Tease series. Avatar86 is a very creative individual and your site will be graced by his/her presence.

I have some more sophisicated ideas that I will share with your members at a future date. Thank you again for all your hard work in creating this site.

Great idea and welcome :-)

Maybe it would nice if you can say the teasegenerator that it preludes some practices like cbt or others.

That was my first thought, too. :-D

I'll make it a button in the tease browser. You can filter by tag there anyway, so it would be easy to just set your filters and than click "Choose a Random Tease" which would take into account all teases that match the criteria. Of course this would also allow you to, say, do a random TOTM-nominated tease or whatever.

Random tease? Cool. I like the idea. But, for the moment: where in the world did all the EXISTING teases go???!!! I've clicked several times on the links. What happened? ---doink.

What the exact problem and what browser are you using?

I click on the tab at the top, "webteases and classics." The loading bar on the browser (IE) gets busy, loading and POOF! The very same (welcome) page to the website comes up again.

I SURELY don't like to have to scroll back and forth to see everything, either.... Otherwise, the site is great. ---doink.

I'm getting a prompt that I do not have Javascript activated. "CLICK HERE."

Is THAT the problem? I doubt it, but maybe so. In which case.... Bye bye, Milovana. Useless to me. ---doink.

doink: The "body" of the page is in the lower right.

On the home page, it starts with "Welcome to Milovana.com"

On the webteases page, it starts with "Check out these classics".

searph0x: doink wasn't alone. I was a little confused m'self. I think everything below the stats, and possibly EVEN the stats, should be only on the home page.

Hmm, that's really strange. I suspect that you are using IE 5.5 which is somewhat, but not fully compatible to the site yet. I'm planning to fix this, but this will take time. For now, you can access the old site here.

Please click on ? > About in your browser and tell me what version it is.

Sorry, you're one of the 0.5% of users who have a resolution of 800x600. We had to make a decision whether to still support this resolution, but in the end, we decided that we could really use the additional space, so I want to take this opportunity to apologize to those 0.5%.

I'll be damned if I even know HOW to get into the guts of the computer to find out what stinking version of IE I'm using.

At the old site, all the pics are gone. Only text remains. On the NEW site, when I click on what LOOKS like the correct link in order to get me to the teases, there's a great deal of BLANK, white space toward the bottom of the webpage. Is that helpful in diagnosing this problem? ---doink.

There should be a question mark in the top menu of your browser, click it and then select "Info". The version info should pop up.

Ok, should be fixed now.

Yep, now I'm pretty sure your browser is IE 5. I can't fix it though until I manage to install IE5 somewhere. So this will surely take some time.

You might consider using Firefox, it's definitely worth a try, not just for this website.

I get the same in "error" with Internet Explorer Version 6.0.2900.2180 . When pressing the "webteases and classics" button on top of the site part of the screen changes to say :"Teases 1-10" (in the lover right part of the browserwindow). I would believe that below this line the teases 1-10 should be shown, but I dont see any teases - just alot of white space where the teases probably should be listet, but they are not.

(There is no probelm in displaying the actualy teases however - if for example I go to http://www.milovana.com/webteases/showtease.php?id=1 it shows "tease number 1" just fine.
