gay tease
Mike and Jenna, I'm in complete agreement, just want to make absolutely clear that my questions regarding the age verification were based on the sexual content of the site alone, in no way connected to the sexuality of that content, i.e. whether it be gay, straight, bi, or any other permutation.
Jenna: I also agree that they are a joke, but presume the sites that have them do so purely for legal reasons, the user/viewer self-certifying they are legal. Obviously this is open to abuse, but I guess it takes the onus away from the site.
I didn't want to get mired in the potential origins of anyone's sexuality, but all current thinking/evidence is that it's nature not nurture that defines one's sexuality. Fetishes etc are a result of nurture, I'm sure we can all trace back in some way how we got into this, but this is very different from whom we decide to play with.
I'm speaking as a Psychologist, unlike a certain other multi-careered member, this is what I actually do. It's given me a fascinating insight into my own sexual preferences over the years.

No doubt sites have age verification principally to cover their own back, I bet they act as a deterrent to minor surfers too though when the terms and conditions of clicking are prominent on that page - all the legal jargon with a few magic words sprinkled around: responsible; liable; fraudulent etc.

I council drug users on a daily basis and I am not able to take such a liberal stance when dealing with addiction and abuse. I figure it is because of this that I look at youth as corruptible.
I have dealt with street kids who have spent a few months in prison and that opened my eyes to forced homosexuality. The long lasting effects it can have on there gender identity and sexual preference is almost irreparable. I have also been faced with street kids who turn to prostitution at a young age. This leaves very similar effects on a youth.
That said this site can’t be compared to any of the above, but that sexual preference can be altered. I believe that if homosexual content is added due to the nature of this site it should be strictly homosexual.

I am not sure if the good that will come out of this will out way the bad due to the large number of straight users and the content.On a website that refuses to show both sides of sexuality, the potential for confusion is magnified. How can a young person "make up their own mind" if they are subjected to a one-sided view of sexuality? - there is no choice to make in this scenario. If a young, gay person visits the site and realises there is a rule that homosexual material is not shown here, and so therefore (no doubt as one part of other social pressures) starts to truly believe being gay is "wrong" and unnatural and so decides to try to lead a "straight life" which will almost certainly lead to inner turmoil, conflict and repression: that, in my opinion, is truly "getting confused along the way"
About the age verification:
Our server is in the netherlands. The netherlands are one of the most liberal countries on this planet. So right now we have no legal problems.
If we would make an age verification which is not useless, like a button "please enter if you are legal age" "exit if not" that would mean we need your credit card numbers or a copy of your identitiy cards or something else what restricts your privacy. We don't want that. It's out of question that we always try the best to protect your pirvacy, but I personal would never give such important informations to others in the internet.

For example they say a submissive tendency can arise if the person experienced parental violence in the first years after birth. So the child combines love with pain. Maybe this is one reason but it's not the absolute truth.
In fact there are no clear, scientifical evidences that any sexual preferences are nature or nurture. And I hope we don't find any evidences because some things I don't want to know. I don't know if that is true and the knowledge about is absolute, but if there is a homosexual gene we don't know if there are other genes, which affect our sexuality.

hi peeps, just gonna add my 2c worth to this thread.
i personally have no probs with homosexual teases being made. but aren't we missing something here, aren't there already at least 2 homosexual teases on the site already (can u guess which ones i'm talking about??)??
i think it's somtimes "funny" that the term "homosexual" stereo typically refers to guy on guy. is it not also the correct term for girl on girl as well. i'm just bringing up the point that as guys, we usually have no problem with any female homosexuality and often completely overlook it in fact.
so in a way, this discussion in a moot point in terms of this site and it's content, IMHO.
please feel free to shoot me down in flames if you think i'm wrong.

Hey newbs, thanks for sharing about your line of work: insightful. Also very commendable.
It's funny, I guess, the different way people respond to things. I volunteered at a homeless shelter for two years and had lots of contact with victims of drug abuse, but for me it served to strengthen my liberal views. Would you mind clarifying: do you mean individual teases should not mix heterosexuality and homosexuality (as Jesse points out: the latter encompassing both male and female); or do you mean that the site should be either entirely heterosexual or entirely homosexual but not a hybrid? I am pro-gay tease. I think it would be hot.
At the risk of getting political, as a queer man I find some of the attitudes to male homosexuality expressed in the teases... less than positive.
It would be nice to see a tease where getting turned on by another man isn't something which is presented as disgusting and shameful.

camipco....you make a very good point in that i have also noticed that in the teases to be turned on by another man is always a humiliating thing... i believe this does appeal to a certain amount of users who do enjoy humiliation...but there would no doubt also be an interest from some where man on man, or woman on woman pleasure would not be looked down upon. I just want to say that this thread has been one of great interest to myself and others and would like to thank everyone for thoughtful, thought-provoking comments filled with the upmost respect and tolerance. I'm quite impressed.
