I have wondered a long time, why this seems so essential for many guys since I can masturbate without lube comfortably and without any injuries or discomfort.

Is it true, that most men in the US are circumsised? Is that the reason, you need lube for masturbation?

In Germany this is quite unuasual, and only done for medical reasons. But I wonder if this might be a disadvantage of a circumsision, although there may the benefit of better stamina.

I am circumsised and regularly masterbate without lube and have no problems. When I use lube it's a very different experience and I tend to cum a lot more quickly.

I can't speak for everyone, but I think the idea isn't so much that lube is necessary but makes the experience a little more pleasurable and/or just harder to keep from cumming.

I also don't really know the percentages of men who are 'cut' in the US, but I know Jewish men are required to be by their beliefs. Most circumcisions are performed while you are still a baby so there is no memory of it.

There has been and probably always will be an argument about whether it's better to be 'cut' or not. Supposedly there are more sensitive spots on an uncut penis, but obviously I can't speak to that. I've also always heard that it's easier to get infections and things of the like if you are uncut.

It seems to be a tough subject to get accurate info on since most guys who are uncut think it's better and most guys who are cut think that it's better that way.

I got circumcised when I was 22, so I feel competent to talk about the cut-uncut issue. First of all, the original topic of this thread, though: yes, you can masturbate without lube with a cut dick. However, if you have longer sessions, like I guess lots of people coming here would have sometimes, it gets uncomfortable a lot sooner without the protection of the foreskin. I never used lube when I wasn't cut, yet; now I use it when I know I'll take my time, but most of the times I still don't.

As to the sensitivity issue and to the argument about what's better: I've found that for me, personally, there's no big difference. Masturbating felt good with an uncut dick, and it also feels good with a cut dick, for me there's no noticeable difference in how it feels. Same goes for how long I can last.

You get used to how a penis should look and usually think the way yours is is the right way, so before I got cut when I saw a cut penis in porn or wherever I always thought it looked weird; by now I think an uncut penis looks a little weird. That probably partly plays into this whole pointless argument thing about this question. In my experience it doesn't make a big difference, so I'd argue that you should just leave things as they are, unless there's medical indications. If there's none of that you might as well avoid doing surgery on a little baby; even though it doesn't do any serious harm normally.

When I was born I was circumcised so I don't know anything different. But I masturbate without lube all the time. For some reason if I masturbate with lotion my penis feels very sore afterwards. So usually I don't use lube. I always wondered does it shorten your penis when you get circumsized or is it about the same length afterwards?

Try using KY, not lotion to beat with...it'll make you feel good.

Yes, your penis is the same length after circumcision...you just have less excess skin around your shaft.
