What's going to happen tonight-

They should just have one time zone for the whole world! I don't care if it's pitch black in China at noon.

Swatch, the clock maker, tried this a while ago (5-10 years or so?) by creating an "internet time". 1000 beats on a day and it was always the same around the world, night would simply come between different times in different parts of the world. I thought it was an interesting concept but it never seemed to take off.
