Lost all pages of Flash Tease THREE BLOODY TIMES!!!

What is wrong with Nyx. I lost 75 pages of a flash tease (every page) THREE TIMES!

Can anyone help? This is like the fourth time this has happenned to me and script backups are not working for whatever reason.

Help please.

THe Tease was Academy de' Cruciatus Part -- III.

I'm sure one of the mods can try to see if the pages can be recovered. But Nyx is a beta program so it would be a wise move to back up your script to a txt file every so often just incase of inncidents such as this.

At 0:09am (GMT) there is a tease with about 50 pages and the ID 5749. That tease was deleted using the "Delete Tease" function sometime between then and 3:09am at which point you have a new tease with ID 5757 which is empty.

So what I can offer is copying the 50 page script from the 5749 backup of 0:09 am to the new currently empty 5757 tease. Let me know if that is any help.

For anybody else reading this: If you ever lose a script in Nyx, make sure you write down the time or post your complaint immediately, then I know what backup to look in.

But we are recommending (and it says so when you start Nyx) to do your own backups of the script since it's a known problem that due to some elusive error in the Nyx client teases do get lost. We've since realized that the FlashTease system is kind of a dead end and in late 2008 started working on a successor which should come out later this year.

I got it under control I think. (Famous last words).

Perhaps you can tell me how the best way to back up Script is?

I copy the entire page of script and paste it into a Notepad .txt file and store it on my machine.

What do I do with the .txt file though once I have it and in the event I need to repair a lost tease?

Sorry if that is a noob question but I am really not all that puter savvy.

Yep just copy and paste everything from the [script] page into a .txt file and save it on your computer. Then if you do lose the tease all you do is copy and paste that text back into the [script] page. You will however need to re-upload the pictures and they will need to have the same file names etc.
