Mega constantly freezes for me especially for large files, I literally cannot get this file to download further than 25%. I don't want to download the app, and torrents just simply work faster and better when people are seeding.

I have tried different browsers and even multiple VPNs but mega refuses to let me download files larger than 2-3 gigs.

TBH I think this is a way for them to force people to download the app and I refuse to play that game. There's zero reason that a file sharing host's downloads should have this many problems while also spamming a popup of "Download taking too long? Download the app!" unless it's done on purpose to migrate people to the app. If you google "mega downloads freezing/stopping" you'll see that this is a common issue and I refuse to submit to that kind of manipulation.

I'll upload parts 1 and 2 by the end of the week, and then if anyone wants, they're free to download them and create a torrent containing the 3 parts! We'd be grateful, cause I don't know how to do that right now.
For downloads from archive or streaming sites, I used Jdownloader and usually didn't encounter any crashes, slowdowns or restrictions, especially if they were due to the browser.

I've even tried Jdownloader, but because this file is so large it doesn't even connect (see image).

It works fine for smaller files but anything larger than 2-3 gigs gives me the same error.

Hopefully someone can make a torrent of this series or handbrake them to smaller files because it looks amazing!

Same here. Every time it freezes, I just click on Pause and then Resume, and it works. But you have to do it countless times, and of course, you'll need a VPN to bypass the 5 GB limit.

The real technical issue is that 8.3 GB is way too big for 46 min.

Erotic4i, have you ever tried HandBrake? It's a free app and really easy to use. You just import your video file, choose your settings (H.265, 1080p, etc.) and it creates a smaller version.

Pausing and resuming doesn't work for me. I've tried doing it right away, I've tried waiting 20-30 seconds, and I've tried waiting 5-10 minutes. The download just never resumes. :(

I was just wondering, why would someone prefer to download this as a torrent instead of just grabbing it directly from Mega ? Is there some benefit I'm missing, or is it just a matter of convenience ? I'm genuinely curious

Makes total sense... if a platform’s downloads are unreliable and they’re pushing their app just to keep you locked in, why not skip it... torrents cut out the hassle entirely

okay.. phew.. got through all three parts. sort of didn't know about it until this third part so I had to go back to do homework. enjoyed your story. thanks for creating, sharing, and putting so much love into it. I can see the improvement of production over the parts.

I've never tried JDownloader and haven't had the time and focus to do that yet, but a smaller file would be awesome anyway.

I wonder how people 'survive' the internet (especially when they are into downloading porn) without it.
When I install a fresh windows, there are a handful of apps I install always and immediately before using it any other way, i.e. Notepad++, Irfanview, MPC-HC, Firefox, JDownloader2.

Do yourself a (big) favor and go for it, one of the many advantages, ... it's a huge win in security since you don't ever have to visit suspicious download webpages with their popups leading you god-knows-where, or java-script running, doing god-knows-what (NoScript-browser plugin, must-have, too).
