Spelling / free proof-reading

Post by lightinthedark »

Hi,

I'm a long-time lurker and very seldom poster. I've been meaning to contribute a tease but never quite found the energy / creativity, so instead I'm offering to help with one of the things which ticks me off quite a lot: bad spelling and grammar in the teases.

I'll proof-read any tease sent to
proof [at] lightinthedark [dot] org [dot] uk

Just send me the script in an email, I'll read it through, correct any spelling or grammar mistakes I notice and send it back so you can post it with a clear conscience that no-one will be cringing at being told "your going too regret you're desicion" or similar. I may be busy with work or life, and if many people decide to take me up on this offer I may not have time to check them all, so if you send me your script and I don't reply within a day or two don't take it personally, just post it anyway :-)

If you want to take me up on this just copy/paste the text into an email with it broken up by slide. eg
1:
Welcome slave

2:
This is gonna be fun

3:
More instructions
...
If you feel that additional info (eg "she's supposed to be speaking with a Texan accent") may help me, feel free to send it along in a note at the start or end of the script, and I'll try to take it into consideration.

Good idea. I too wish I had the time/creativity to submit a tease of the calibre found here. Maybe one day :)

Hope this goes well for all involved.

A noble effort. I once spellchecked all the teases in the classics section, although I imagine all the evidence of that is gone by now.
Currently spellchecking 490/490. ^ ^

Thanks! Poor grammar skills distract from what could otherwise be an awesome tease...

I can offer my services with spellchecking also; it's frustrating (in a bad way;)) when grammar mistakes distract you from a tease.
