@wqaed - I've done a first-cut implementation of limiting the number of lines in the expansion text. See if that helps; I can explore the other options if you think one or more are needed.

Happy New Year!
Wishing everyone the best for 2026!

Tease Statistics

To celebrate 4 years of MiloDB and the incredible collection of teases dating back to 2006, here are some statistics from the MiloDB database ranging from 2006-08-15 to 2025-11-30, which is 7,048 days.
  • Deleted/Invisible/Hidden/Invalid teases are not included
  • Word counts do not include JavaScript or Flash code

There have been fewer teases published more recently, however their size and complexity have increased significantly due to the capabilities of EOS and the skill of the authors involved.

Note
I spent about three hours trying to produce a build that Windows Defender didn't flag as a trojan. The Windows executable gets flagged by 6/71 security vendors which is more than I'd like. You can review the analysis on VirusTotal.

I recently had a HDD crash and lost everything :\'-( . Now with a new computer and having to use & learn Windows 11 I'm trying to reload and rebuild.

I just downloaded and installed the latest Milodb. No problems, works great as expected EXCEPT I can't get it to update the database. I click the "Update" button and it starts off as expected, opens a new "Update" window and seems to download. But then it just stops, leaving the window open with a "Cancel" button on the bottom. See attached screenshot. I thought I recalled it used to run through the update and then close the new window and leave just Milodb open. Regardless - it's not applying the update. I've checked permissions in the Milodb folder and program and tried the update numerous times. I also tried after temporarily turning off my antivirus and Defender. No doubt I am doing (or not doing) something dumb with new to me Windows11, but any help would be appreciated.

That looks correct to me, it's downloading the remote manifest and finding that you already have the latest version, 4.8.0, and the database that comes with it has teases up to 2025-12-31 (the last one of 2025 was actually 2025-12-26. Don't forget that the database is always about three months behind. This allows time for the newest teases to be played/rated/tweaked/removed etc. before they're captured.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was concerned by the latest tease in the program being 2025-12-26. Somehow I thought I recalled your updates being much more current than that. April now, I was thinking the update would show teases from at least February. But now looking at your last update post from a few days ago and I see it's to 2025-12-26. Of course, a few months behind makes perfect sense. I've been beating my head against the wall repeatedly with dealing with new to me Windows 11 and new computer, trying to get it set to what works acceptably to me that I often have been dealing with non-existent issues.

Thanks again for providing such a handy program and all the rest you do for the community.

Quick question - is it possible to count number of occurances of a search term and rank by them? Like for instance, can I search teases sort sort them by how many times the word 'edge' appears in them? If not, this would be an incredibly helpful feature.

Yes, I think I could add that. The total hits is an accumulation of all matched search terms, so the information is there, somewhere. Do you have any ideas on how it could be represented in the UI?

My first instinct is to just add this as a column to the result table. This makes natural sense?

So say my search query is - text contains 'edge'

Then in the result table, one of the columns is basically the count of occurrence of whatever the query searches for. The column name could be, say, count.

Now since its in the table, I can click on that column and sort it by descending/ascending order.

This is super helpful in my opinion and I have been using milodb extensively to find teases with particular keywords - I just have to do it manually now.

For instance, I can find teases that talk about edging the most, or stroking the most, etc. etc.

I was trying to think of how it could be represented when you have a complex query like the following:

Code: Select all

text contains edge and text contains balls and text contains stroking and rating >= 4 and (text matches "(tie|attach|connect|loop|fasten)[^\.\?!;]+(bottle|weight|dumbb?ell|heavy|weighted)" or text matches "heavy (object|item|weight)|(any|some)thing heavy" or text matches "bottle of water|water.?bottle|empty bottle" or text matches "\W(1|2)(l\W| litre)|\W(one|two) litre" or tag contains bottle or tag contains weight) and text matches "(play(ing)? with|tease|flick|squeeze|pinch|pull|twist|rub|massage|around|treat|slap|whack|attention)[^.\?!\n]+nipple" and (text matches "(clover|nipple).?clamps" or text matches "cloth(es?)?[ -]?(peg|pin)" or text matches "clamps[^.?!\n]+nipples") and (title contains humiliation or summary contains humiliation)
This query contains the following search terms without the boolean logic:

Code: Select all

text contains edge
text contains balls
text contains stroking
rating >= 4
text matches "(tie|attach|connect|loop|fasten)[^\.\?!;]+(bottle|weight|dumbb?ell|heavy|weighted)"
text matches "heavy (object|item|weight)|(any|some)thing heavy"
text matches "bottle of water|water.?bottle|empty bottle"
text matches "\W(1|2)(l\W| litre)|\W(one|two) litre"
tag contains bottle
tag contains weight
text matches "(play(ing)? with|tease|flick|squeeze|pinch|pull|twist|rub|massage|around|treat|slap|whack|attention)[^.\?!\n]+nipple"
text matches "(clover|nipple).?clamps"
text matches "cloth(es?)?[ -]?(peg|pin)"
text matches "clamps[^.?!\n]+nipples"
title contains humiliation
summary contains humiliation
While each one of those could be shown as a column heading, it would end up as a very wide table.

The only way I can imagine it working would be to do (something like) extend the existing "Hits" column to show a drop-down list of the search terms so that one could be selected, and it could show the hit-count for each search term in the menu.
