Interesting topic. One thing I have often wondered is that so much of the cock hero videos are softcore or pretty vanilla in nature. And when I compare that to, for example, the teases we see here, or much of the content we see, it is much harder kink in nature (femdom as just one example). So I wonder why we don't see many more CH type videos focussing on specific kink areas. Of course there are a few, but the weighting would very heavily be towards vanilla I would bet.

A story or edging instructions do not define the genre, there are only very few over all that have that. So it has always been rare and the early CHs did not have that at all. They used to have some teasing comments here and there but that's it. Yeah, the typical CH is more like one 45 minutes to slightly over an hour, not 3. But that doesn't make it bad for my taste

I personally do not care too much for a story in a CH and edging instructions don't work for me so well either as I am close to the edge during the whole thing anyway. That stuff is great in teases but for a PMV I don't need it at all.

I was gonna say, Goonathon is like ~15 CH in one, and all in excellent editing quality. You can just schedule 45 minutes and say after 45 minutes you are allowed to cum, or just try to endure as long as possible. I actually enjoy these "open end" videos quite a lot.
