No Images are showing

Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue. For the past few days to a week, none of the images in teases have been showing. They just come up in the tease as blank boxes. Even in the editor, a tease I've been working on doesn't show images, and looking at the galleries has the same issue. Is something wrong site-wide? Or is this a me issue and I need to figure it out?

Works completely fine for me. Did you try a different browser or device? Trying incognito mode also can help as most extensions are usually disabled there, unless you've changed that explicitly.

Private browsing doesn't work either, and I'm not about to reinstall Google Chrome, or install some other browser, for this when the site was working just fine on Firefox not too long ago. Clearing cache for the site also doesn't work. Looks like I'm just fucked and can't use the site anymore? Kinda sucks.

I'm in the same situation. Teases worked fine a couple days ago, but now no images are loading. I tried both chrome and firefox, rawdogging and incognito. I even tried duckduckgo browser and Opera...images do not load for any tease now, even ones I played a week ago.

Hmm... I'm on firefox (latest version) and windows right now and it's working completely fine for me.
All images get displayed as they should.

Do other NSFW websites work for you? Maybe it's some SFW filter? Or maybe it's an extension that's interfering with the website?

I would assume something on your network is blocking media.milovana.com, probably something trying to block porn.

I can open that fine, and I dunno what would be blocking porn. I have an adblocker but turning it off doesn't fix the issue. Other than that, my only extension is the 7tv extension for emotes on Twitch, but Firefox's private browsing says it disables all extensions when it's used. I can still access other NSFW sites perfectly fine too, so I doubt it's something weird like my ISP blocking it. I'm just gonna hope one of these days it fixes itself, and if not then RIP, I'm just not using the site anymore.

That's very strange. I would try clearing caches etc., try opening an image that doesn't show in a new tab, and try press F12 in your browser to open developer tools. You should find a network console there somewhere, load a page with issues and it should show you what's causing it.

I infer from your reply that you're using Firefox. I've had an ongoing issue in Firefox where some images in threads do not display, and it turned out to be the Enhanced Tracking Protection. If you click the little "shield" icon at the left end of the tracking bar you can turn off ETP and try again. My issue was never site-wide like you are describing though.

There must be a reason for what's happening.
The site has been stupid slow off and on lately too, so maybe that's part of it?

Clearing cache, disk cleanup, etc didn't do anything. But I did F12 and found an error message regarding the images:

Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://media.milovana.com/timg/tb_xl/xxxxx.jpg. (Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ missing). Status code: 403.

A quick google search says it might be a server-side issue with how the teases access and show images, which is kinda weird if that's the case because it doesn't seem to be affecting everyone on the site.

I'm having the exact same issue - never had this issue before. No images on EOS teases are loading although images on classic teases do load normally

That link opened fine, but images in webteases are not loading.

It really is weird, because I don't get this error and everything works fine.
If you want to experiment a bit, you could go into the firefox configuration (type: about:config into your address bar).
Then search for security.fileuri.strict_origin_policy and set it to false.
After restarting your browser you might check if you're now able to load the images.
After checking, I would immediately change the settings back and restart again to make sure that you don't leave room for malicious attacks on your system.

CORS-headers are there to circumvent what is called cross origin policy. Javascript is by default not allowed to access information coming from other domains. This is a security policy, because otherwise javascript could access information on private networks you are connected to and send it back to your home server. As server can send CORS-headers to disable or soften this restriction.

Now for just embedding an image in html (using the img tag) this restriction does not apply anyway as this image is only shown to the user. It only applies if you actually try to analyse the binary data. Milovana does not do that, neither for classic teases nor for EOS teases. There are no CORS-headers sent for images by milovana, and they are not needed.

This means, something else has to be injecting javascript code into the site do do that. That again would point to browser extensions or some other third party tool. There really is something very strange going on, could even be a virus. It's strange that this is only affecting milovana though.

Just to confirm: this is happening for both, EOS and classic teases? Also are their any other errors on the console? Preferably for classic teases. This error usually also causes some javascript error at the place where the information is accessed and that should give a hint.

That should not change anything. This option is about resources loaded from file uris, i.e. uris starting with file:///
This only applies to sites you load directly from your local device. You can disable these checks for debugging purposes to try stuff locally. But as far as I know you can't disable them for sites loaded via http, and even if you could, it would be a really really bad idea.
