I've been experimenting with wearing my chastity cage (a CB-6000) for extended periods but I don't understand how people are able to pull it off 24/7. I'm curious to hear from people with real experience how they tackle those problems:
1) Getting restful sleep. Maybe I just need to get used to it, but the cage makes it harder for me to go to sleep and nightly erections are interrupting my sleep. Its fun in fantasy, but knowing how important regular sleep is, I can see this having a long term health impact. Is it really possible to get healthy, restful sleep while being locked up in a chastity cage?
2) Engaging in sport. Most sport activities are simply not possible in a chastity cage. Good luck riding a bike, doing most gym exercises, or even engaging in any team sport. Do people really give up most sport to wear a cage 24/7 or are there cages that allow you to do sports?
3) Handling real life threats outdoors. I have no issue wearing my cage indoor, but outdoor it is pretty terrifying. Luckily, most of life is pretty boring, but you never know what will happen. Maybe you get into an altracation, have an accident, or need to safe someone else. All of those unforeseen events are already challenging without a cage, but I don't even want to think about it wearing a chastity cage. How do you stand your ground or do something heroic when one wrong energetic move could rip your balls off?
I think I can get the sleep part managed just by getting used to it, but I would really appreciate help with point 2 and 3, which make it currently not feasible for me to got 24/7.
Is wearing a male chastity cage 24/7 actually possible?

Re: Is wearing a male chastity cage 24/7 actually possible?
I'm not doing 24/7, but for me adding a chastity belt to the cage was a gamechanger. They are pretty cheap or you could just try how it would feel by using a rope. The belt helps it stay closer to the body, so the cage has less wiggle room.
Maybe that helps you with your sleep already.
Not sure what your exact problem in sport is. If it is the size of the cage maybe check if a smaller shaft model would be a solution.
About 3) you could always have an accident at any time even when home. But anything serious where you would be exposed is really unlikely. And in case of accidents where you are brought to a hospital and medical staff see your cage; I think they have see weirder shit like that and you would probably not be the first one that would be exposed like that.
So I think you can look to change 1) and 2) or make them more comfortable, but you need accept/worry less about 3)

Re: Is wearing a male chastity cage 24/7 actually possible?
Regarding point 1, the right cage changes everything. Personally I don't think that a CB6000 is confortable for long time wear. Try a differente cage, more anatomical if I may. I found mine in the cobra. Could wear it for multiple days without problem. I don't know about your sizes, but i bought 2, one regular and one a little smaller and seems weird, but the smaller is better. More firm, more light, more concealed. I got used also to sleep with the cage on. In my experiece, the first couple of days can be the worst, but then your body get used. Still happens that some mornings are tough
Regarding point 2, you ar right. Most of the time i remove it for sport, the fear of pincing my balls is too much. It happened in the past, just lightly, and I decided that the risk is not worth it. Especially in a sport like riding, ski or soccer where contacts or falls are possible. For regular gim it is fine.
Regarding point 3, I was super afraid at the beginning, like you, but then I stopped caring, also thanks to the fact that the cage wasn't unconfortable to wear.

Re: Is wearing a male chastity cage 24/7 actually possible?
Point 1:
Get a chastity belt or strap or make DIY. The cage pulling far away hurts more than it just pressing there. Also waking up due to boner at night is only in the beginning, like try to calm down take deep breath make the erection go away and back to sleep.
Also the cage needs to be comfortable and snug, loose cage or base ring = pain, too tight also = pain. Like I still get night erection or morning wood and sleep comfortably all night without waking up until morning.
TL:DR chastity belt + comfortable cage + getting used to it
Point 2:
For sports that involve running: There are cages designed to make life easier during sports and wearing cage at the same time. Like I have seen specific cages designed to be comfortable during cycling etc. Other wise your only option would be to engage in different exercise maybe weight lifting or bodyweight training.
Point 3:
I wear cage even outside the house too just don't have a bulky cage. Also obviously remove it if your day involves going through metal detectors
Unless you are in a profession involving emergency services I don't think it affects much like it just becomes a part of my body personally, I don't even feel it. Personally my life is pretty chill and I don't think a chastity cage would reduce my survival chances or anything.

Re: Is wearing a male chastity cage 24/7 actually possible?
The right cage with the right fit should address most of your concerns. +1 for the cobra style cages. I loved the knockoff I bought to try the style but the materials sucked and I haven’t ponied up for a genuine Kink3d yet. I do have a genuine Cherry Keeper and it’s fantastic too, just not quite as streamlined as the cobra. I have several “Ternence” style stainless cages and really like them for the look, feel, and ease of hygiene, but the extra weight make them less than ideal for active situations. Still doable but I’d rather the resin if I’m going to be jumping around. I’d recommend buying a knockoff cobra kit with several size rings and tubes so you can experiment a bit with sizing, they’re all over Amazon, just watch for rashes (reaction to sub par plastics) and expect them to be a bit fragile. Once you have ring and tube sizes that work for you, go for stainless and/or genuine products in better materials.
For fit, smaller is better, especially if you’re a grower. Go as short on the tube as is comfortable. First, it won’t be loose and flop around when you’re flaccid. Second, it will curb erections more effectively which will increase comfort especially at night. Third, the psychological effect is magnificent, you really look and feel bound up and locked away. It also just feels really nice, like hugs for your penis… You don’t need to be really squashed in there (though there are times when that’s fun too) but it should be pretty tight in order to be all-day comfortable
Once you have a cage (or 7.. they’re like potato chips) that fits well, the rest falls into place pretty quickly. Sleeping in the cage is totally doable but it may take a few days to a week to adjust and return to really restful sleep. After a night or three your body will realize that nocturnal erections are a bad idea and will stop trying. If it takes longer than a week then you probably don’t have the right cage yet.
Most sports are possible with a good fitting cage, even biking. I’m a big motorcyclist and I can ride dual sports and sport tourers in most of my cages just fine. I bike, play disc golf, walk and hike, do yard work and diy projects, build sheds and fences… all while caged, usually in stainless. I wouldn’t swim, but mostly because of printing under wet shorts and exposing those around me to my kink, which isn’t very cool. I wouldn’t do contact sports for the same reason.
As far as point 3, most of it is nothingburger stuff that you’ll realize isn’t as much of an issue as you’re thinking now, but it does illustrate the need to always have an emergency key with you. Should you get into an accident, need to pass through a metal detector or body scanner, or just have a comfort issue like a ball slip (it happens) or something similar, you need to have a way to unlock it yourself. If you have a key holder, you can decide on honor systems or have a way to tamper proof like with a sheath and tamper tag, if you self lock like I do then it’s all honor system anyway. Medical staff, paramedics, trauma staff… they’ve seen it all, and while you may be embarrassed, you won’t be in danger. If you’re unconscious and they need it off they’ll probably just cut it, especially if it’s resin. If you’re awake then hey, you have a key. If you’re in a stand your ground or saving someone type situation, you’re not even going to be thinking about the cage, especially if you have one that fits well. It will be the farthest thing from your mind. And again, with proper fitment, the risk of injury is pretty minimal.
Anyway, hope this helps. tl;dr: buy a knock off cobra kit from Amazon that has multiple ring and tube sizes, watch out for itchy dick, and find out why everyone says CB-6K sucks. Enjoy your chastity journey, denial can be fun!

Re: Is wearing a male chastity cage 24/7 actually possible?
No idea about your situation but I figured I should mention, one thing that usually goes unsaid when talking about fitting cages is you're assumed to be circumcised. As someone from a European country where circumcision hardly ever comes up and if it does it's seen as a weird religious thing, it took me a long time of messing with different cages before realising that there really is no way to get the foreskin to settle nicely. Those with great fits simply don't have the issue.
Out of everything I ever tried the only thing that sits fairly well is standard size holy trainer v4, and it absolutely needs some kind of a belt. There are things I'd like to try still, but an actual full chastity belt is a jump up in price from cages and I have no confidence I'd get the sizing right, I already tried way too many cages trying to get them to work for me. Maybe if I ever find myself in a relationship with an eager partner.
To your questions, I never seriously tried sleeping with a cage myself as I have enough sleep issues as it is, but everywhere I've seen this discussed people have reported it's something you learn to get used to. I have done weight training and gone biking with a cage on, though the latter is probably stupid and reckless. A cage doesn't get in the way of being physically active, but it is a liability if you're getting knocked around and I would absolutely not wear one for any sport with physical contact or even a decent chance of taking a tumble. Maybe also don't wear one if you anticipate potentially needing to "do something heroic", though I question how likely that situation really is.

Look, the simple answer is it's about what you feel comfortable with.Teaserator wrote: Tue Jan 06, 2026 12:50 pm I've been experimenting with wearing my chastity cage (a CB-6000) for extended periods but I don't understand how people are able to pull it off 24/7. I LOVE the fantasy of a beautiful and powerful woman having complete ownership of my dick. But, as you have noted, men get nocturnal, full-strength diamond erections. So you will either have interrupted sleep or you will adjust to the point your body stops making them. I do not think that latter outcome sounds particularly healthy either.
So I will not be doing 24/7 chastity any time soon.
I think the best someone can hope for with a long term partner without compromising some aspect of their health is locked up from dusk till dawn but released once in bed and settling down to sleep.
If your play is via a long distance partner/domme, then you can get disposable plastic locks with serial numbers on. These will show that the cage you're about to unlock as you turn in to sleep is the same one you sent them a picture of this morning.
It's not perfect, but it is a compromise that allows long-term chastity without compromising on your health too much. (There's also the fact that long periods without ejaculating may contribute to prostate cancer risk, but if you took out EVERYTHING linked to cancer in life, you'd have a very dull and MAYBE very long life.)
Sport sounds simple enough to fix with a protective cup over it, as people already use for several sports. Same for fights I guess - is it really that high of a risk you'll get in one though?
