Is it possible to translate the chinese webteases with a browser extension or something else?
I was unable to make it work,

Yes. I use Firefox with "TWP - Translate Web Pages" https://github.com/FilipePS/Traduzir-paginas-web addon.(I'm sure there's others too) I have it set to automatically translate any webpage not in English. It does quite well. Been using it for years. You can also 'un-translate' if you want the original. If just a few phrases in a page aren't English you can highlight them and translate just them. I think https://www.deepl.com/en/translator does a better job generally of translating but I don't have a way to use it as an addon

Some terms in Chinese teases translate a bit odd - 'edging' is usually something like 'stopping' or 'inch stop' or 'cunzhi' but usually I can get the gist. Buttons don't tend to get translated, but again, can usually surmise their meaning or individually look them up. There are quite a few good teases in not only Chinese but German and others too.
