The 0.14.3 update is coming along nicely. I just need a few more days. I'll post a detailed update log once it's out. I feel that this update really helps to flesh out the three companions with more town scenes. They are becoming some of my favorite characters as I've tried to give all three (Aqua, Darkness, and Megumin) unique and quirky personality traits.

Remember, just message me if you want the game link. It automatically updates to the latest version. I prefer that alpha players report bugs and provide feedback, but I pretty much give the link to anyone who is interested. Remember, though, this isn't a quick tease that you just play in a few hours. It's a very big game with complex RPG mechanics and a lot of reading and lore with adult themes and estim woven into the storyline, so it's meant for a certain niche player base. Picture taking a Japanese anime dating sim, a visual novel, Morrowind, an 80s text adventure game like The Hobbit, a turn-based JRPG, and a Milovana estim tease, and blending them all together. I think that gives you some sense of it, but perhaps some veteran testers could explain it better.

Although the core game mechanics are pretty much set in stone at this point in development (besides minor tweaks) this is a great time to provide feedback in terms of your favorite type of content and characters. After 5 years of development, I'm quite sure that this is the biggest Eos game ever developed, but version 0.15.0 will add a lot more content. Your thoughts and opinions will help me decide what to prioritize. Many have expressed a desire to see the Inquisition (the player sin punishment mechanic) and brothel content and more tavern jobs. After I add the next zone, I'll try to work on at least two of those for 0.15.0. I'm still debating which zone to add next. It will likely either be the water temple (hand crafted) to allow advancement of the main story quest, the southern forest cave (hand crafted) or the northern forest cave (procedural). These will bring new, higher level enemies, new loot drops (gear, weapons, spells, and so forth) and quests to go with the zone. Let me know either here or via private message.

Summary: Alpha version 0.14.3 is now live on the tester link. This is a minor update and should remain compatible with save game data from any 0.14.X version. This update adds more content for the Guild of Heroines characters (Darkness, Aqua, and Megumin). Many of you have probably noticed that the Milovana site has been having some issues lately. Sometimes it’s almost unusably laggy or won’t load at all. This is hindering my game development progress, but fortunately it appears to reset once per day, giving me at least a few hours in which to get some work done.

--- New Content ---

* Three new town scenes related to the first companion hire bet *

- The three guild heroines have a bet about who you will hire as your first companion. This is part of an effort to have world consequences that continue to play out long after you make certain decisions to make it feel like a dynamic world and to add replay value. For these to play out, you must complete your time with the first selected companion and all three women must be available for world encounters, meaning you can’t have any of them as an active companion. Obviously, you can only experience one of these outcomes per playthrough unless you use the cheat console.

- The most elaborate of the three options takes place in the tavern if Aqua was your first companion. You’ll have several options to influence how Megumin settles the lost bet with a very inebriated Aqua through dialog choices and skill rolls. You can greatly influence the disposition and dominance of both women with these options. You can witness kinky, lezdom action or you can play a more active role, including possible anal sex.

- If you pick Darkness or Megumin as your first companion, their bet scenes play out in the pool area in the bathhouse. These are less elaborate than the Aqua option and are just kinky scenes that you can watch unfold.

* Three new market district scenes *

- If you are traveling with a companion, each of the three women now have a scene that can trigger in the market district in the street by the weapon shop. Darkness will ask for some money to get food provisions. Megumin asks for money to buy some cute outfits. If you give her the money, this will trigger future scenes (in the next update) in which she tries them on for you. Aqua has a sexy scene in which she bends over to pick up a gold coin in the road. If the player has not found the hidden coin pouch in the market district, she’ll drop a hint about looking for money that patrons may have dropped. For those of you who don’t know, there is a hidden coin pouch in one of 6 possible locations in the market district streets. This requires you to both look in the right location and pass a silent perception roll which is based on your sneak skill.

* Three new guild hall scenes *

- When you visit the guild hall, there are now a few special scenes that can trigger. (More coming.) If Darkness has a low dominance, you may walk in as Luna is spanking her. If Megumin has a high enough disposition, she may give you some chocolate. If Megumin has a very high (90+) disposition towards you and you have adventured together, she may gift you with her heart fire charm. This is a powerful inventory item that boosts your damage with magic, especially fire damage. I have plans to add a lot of special content for many main characters that have a chance to trigger once you get their disposition to very high levels. Thus, raising disposition with the ladies will serve as interesting side content objectives featuring special gifts and sex scenes. As you probably know, it already affects dialog options, some scenes, punishments, and vendor prices and the like. You can see disposition and dominance levels in the glossary. There are many ways in the game to influence both.

* New changing room scene *

- If your sexual xp is high enough, a scene can trigger in the bathhouse changing room featuring Megumin. She’ll be putting on a skimpy red bathing suit. There are several dialog options. She’ll have to pee before getting into the pools, so you can offer to solve that problem for her. If her dominance is high enough, she may force the issue.

* New garden scene *

- If you have traveled with Megumin as your companion, and her disposition is high enough, you may encounter Megumin sleeping in the town gardens. She’ll be having an erotic dream about you. Many kinky dialog and skill roll options ensue.

* New dungeon scene *

- If you get Megumin’s dominance significantly higher than Darkness’s, you may find the two of them in the palace dungeon. Megumin will be having some fun with her new submissive.

* Miscellaneous *

- Increased special encounter chances in the tavern and various special locations around the town. The way this system works at most locations is that when you visit a trigger point and don’t trigger a scene, the trigger odds increase for next time (as long as 2 or more minutes pass). Of course, a valid scene must be available based on a bunch of prerequisites such as player level and the like. I found scenes not triggering often enough at some locations, so I increased the odds. Let me know if I’ve found the right balance for letting you get about town while also keeping things interesting from time to time.

- Adjusted the dialog when you first hire a companion to better hint at the above-mentioned bet between the heroines.

- Adjusted some notes and warnings when you first play the game.

- Added sexual xp to some palace dungeon scenes that were missing it.

- Added a special note the first time you gain sexual xp to explain how it differs from regular xp.

- Slightly decreased the odds of getting caught by the bathhouse attendant while trying to peep in the changing rooms. (If you don’t know, you can turn on stealth mode to help evade detection.)

- Added a picture for the special healing tonic that you can purchase from Luna after completing the quest involving Scarlet.

- When you encounter Uru for the second time in the town garden, she'll grant you a love spell to perform on anyone you've met. She now has added unique dialog options for certain women.

--- Bug Fixes ---

- Fixed a bug that was causing world encounters to not be reinstated for your companions after you finish your contracted 90 minutes together.

- Fixed a few typos.

Upcoming plans: I’ll be working on the game nearly full time for five more weeks. I hope to get a lot done, but the lag issues that Milovana has been experiencing makes testing very difficult. But I’m now starting work on the next major update which will be V0.15.0. The very earliest that it will be done is the end of August, but I suspect that it will take longer than that. It will not be compatible with save data from V0.14.X because it will feature at least one new zone. I’m eager to get some new higher-level enemies and quests into the game. For those interested in playing or testing, you can PM me for a game link. Since the next update will take a while, I’ll try to make a few posts to keep you informed of the progress. Could you clarify what you mean by “It will not be compatible with save data from V0.14.X”.
Will we be able to keep our progress up to now, or does that mean we will need to restart from the beginning?

Major updates usually break the save data, so yes, you'll usually have to start a fresh game when a major update gets pushed. Keeping them compatible isn't worth the development time at this point. The minor updates like 0.14.1 to 0.14.2 usually stay compatible. The upside to starting a new game is that playing with different decisions and a different class will unlock new content. By design, you can't see it all in one playthrough.

As far as V0.15.0 goes, many of you may know that uploads have been broken for content creators on Milovana for about 2 months now. I did some work on the art and a ton of new estim files in early August, but being unable to upload them to the server means game development is on hold until the situation is resolved. It will be sad if five years of development comes to an end, but hopefully it will eventually be fixed. :unsure:

LOL. That was some strange timing. Yeah, so uploads once again work the day after I just posted. I'll resume development. Unfortunately, the timing of the upload outage was bad, as I had set aside all of August to work on the game full time, and now I'm back to my usual work schedule. But I will once again start to chip away at it. I'll post an update soon foreshadowing more details about what the next major update will entail. :yes:

Now for "Brothel Services”, I don't know what you have in mind but let me share an opinion: Player should be allowed to cum ;-)
Frankly speaking, I cannot imagine playing this game in one go, as it is so long and complex, with so many battles. :w00t:
I have been playing numerous times for countless hours and naturally, most of the time, I am terminated because I cum. :-)
However, I restart from the latest save and therefore I can progress. :whistle:
So this new "Brothel" service could be meant to allow cumming without automatic termination. :blush:
Having to travel all the way for instance from the north of the graveyard or north of the forest to the Brothel would be a deterrent enough against cumming :-P in the game.
I trust that it would make more sense to allow one to choose to end the game and finish oneself for the day, than not allowing it all for several hours (days?) of tease (which IMHO is unrealistic :innocent: )

You'll be happy to know that I went with the water temple as the new zone. This will allow for progression of the main story line. It's a handcrafted zone that is slightly larger and more complicated than the cathedral north of the graveyard. Work on this zone is underway.

The Inquisition content has been most requested, so if I only get to one major piece of new town content in the next big update, that will probably be the highest priority.

You certainly aren't meant to play through the game in a single sitting. Even if you rush, it's dozens of hours of content, and much more if you take your time and sink into the lore and visit the townsfolk regularly. Additionally, a lot of content depends on your character class and the choices you make, so you should experience even more content with other playthroughs. There are also a lot of secrets to discover and rare events that you only have a slight chance to experience. For example:

If you enter Kendall's office and she's not there, you can discover a secret room that then leads to an entire questline.


As for cumming... that's sort of just part of the fun and challenge, especially if you use high estim settings. There is a special handjob punishment that Kendall sometimes dishes out (if she likes you and she's dominant) that lets you cum. Her theory is that as long as it's involuntary ejaculation induced by her lightning magic, it won't trigger the Psyon vortex, and she's right. I may work a few other special occasions like that into other areas of the game, perhaps even in the brothel BDSM content, but allowing the player to cum more broadly in the brothel would break too much of the lore. Remember you can take a break from the estim in the Temple of the Gear, and you can teleport back to town with a potion in a pinch. If you have to restart from a save after cumming, it ties in nicely with the lore of the time crystals or the time folds in the temple, where you get to try again from a period before your "accident". The "game over" content for cumming will eventually be much more elaborate. The game hints at this when you lose in that way. Major spoiler of the future plans if you are curious...

There will be multiple different scenes that unfold with the Psyons after you cum, depending on how far along you are in the game. The more progress that you've made, the more of the secrets behind their nature, their motivations, and the world of Milovana will be revealed during the dialog. These secrets are also hinted at with some special level up ascension scenes, flashbacks with Raven, and some dialog with the lesser goddesses. After the Psyon dialog, you'll be sentenced to an eternity of femdom torture. After experiencing this for quite some time, depending on some choices and NPC dispositions, you might be "saved" in various ways. Some of these will require you to restart with a time crystal (prompted for your save game data) while others may see you resurrected without the need to restart.
@Everyone:

The workload from my job ebbs and flows in fairly extreme ways, and for the next few months, I'm going to be extremely busy and probably unable to work on the game very much for a while. I had all of August dedicate to game dev, but with uploads broken during that whole period, (unfortunate timing) I wasn't able to get much done. There was some programming that I could have done, but I was unwilling to dedicate much time to it because I had no way of knowing when, or even if the problem would be resolved. (Thankfully, it was.) But hey... what's a few months of delay after more than 5 years of development LOL. It's been quite the journey, and it will continue, but in fits and starts as my spare time allows. But if there are any perverted billionaires out there that want to throw a few million dollars my way so I can work full time on game development, I'd be happy to do so! :yes: I remain excited to continue developing this fantasy world. If people would like a progress report for the water temple, I can provide that.

This game is very impressive, cant wait to wire up again!
Ive only seen the tip of the iceberg but here are my thoughts after the first (short) run.

First night ive just read the whole manual, I dont think thats worth the time (before playing). Its too verbose but I could see its utility in looking up game mechanics when the need arises. The game already provides good explanations at character creation and calibration. Understanding what the 8 skills do was good to get my bearings though.

For wiring up I used a bipolar plug and placed pads on the shaft above the balls and glans , this worked well. I have midistim & I like to set system volume high and the volume knob lower. 1) to reduce EMI noise pickup on my hifi (faint audible beep), 2) feels safer since I once had a notebook that sometimes defaulted to max volume after switching mains/battery mode.

First I calibrated the device to an intense pleasure/ verging on painful - level with the help of another tease, I did not find it neccesary to add 50% to it. Setting the pleasure signals to 17/30/40 and pain 44/49/52 felt doable, but at the first encounter in the cemetery I realized I have overtuned it a bit (the +45% then +25% increase was too steep). My electrodes werent right either so I ended up stopping here. I disliked the suddenness of the signals - appearing even before the text and no tune-in. Part of this though was just me being nervous after returning to stim from a longer hiatus. Still it is jumpscare, clicking a button whether for travel or skillcheck is a tense experience initially.
Next day, good electrodes. Calibration 22/34/44 for pleasure, 48/51/54 for pain. (so only 35% then 22% increase & minimal pain). This hit the spot.

So finally onto the content, the girls are interesting, the dominane and sadism in some characters like the queen and the goddess of the overworld is palpable. Other kinks (Smell and taste related stuff) is included from the beginning and for me all these help with getting invested & with arousal. Normally its a challenge for webteases to find appropriate images but it seems to be well done here - facial expressions often show up appropriate to the text. Glad that the whole theme revolves around domination, I love globalized fetish.
The cemetery oddly has one of those background signals that other teases would use as pain signal (short bursts). But both signals I felt there have breaks and bursts, probably its a wise choice to avoid desensitization.
I played over an hour both times, first time just because of the intro reading & shops but second time I got to the fighting part comparatively quickly. Despite having geared up (I skimped on potions) and waiting to get full HP after the first fight, the second monster got me and my run was over. Ill prep better next time & set the right stance. I didnt expect it but I realized doing a quest could take up a whole (shorter? 1-2h) session, so it could be a lot more content than I expected - all the more reason to return to it, great challenge.

@Jackall: I'm glad you are enjoying the game. Indeed, the manual needs a short summery option, with a focus on the 8 skills as you suggest. I've been holding off until the final game mechanic tweaks are settled as writing that stuff is boring and time consuming.

It's not uncommon to die in battle the first few tries at the game. What difficulty did you play on and what was your class? Buy a bow if you played as a warrior or a mage so you have a weapon to do some damage when at maximum distance. Also, grab a few health potions. Also know that most Psyons in the graveyard have a weakness to fire damage. Remember you can use time crystals and saved game data to avoid starting over.

Proper calibration is indeed important. It sounds like you got it dialed in eventually on your second try. I didn't quite understand which part you thought was a little too abrupt. Can you clarify? The dread and fear of taking damage is part of the immersive experience, making you feel what your avatar experiences.

Based on your summary, I think you've experienced less than 5% of the game thus far. There are many large zones, secrets, and dozens of quests and dozens of women to meet about town. The town opens up after you complete the queen's combat initiation quest.

@Everyone: Many have been asking for a progress report for the next big update. As I mentioned, work is going to be crazy for the next few months, so it will be slow going.
