It's weird because to get that output, at least on mine, it needs to connect to Intiface to display the Connected to buttplug message and I get your other message when I disconnect. I had a weird feeling like Windows firewall was blocking the connection, but it seems like it's actually making the connection, but for some reason isn't hanging on to it.

Can you take a screenshot of the log screen of Intiface after the connection refused message pops up in Restim?

Just had a random thought.. The vid I'm watching right now with restim+vlc has a bit of ramping built in (in a specific volume funscript I mean) to increase difficulty as it goes on, but I think I would prefer if it affected the neutral pole more than the other two. At least for me it can be more distracting if the intensity to the balls goes up, and actually make it harder to cum. Likewise if one of the channels is connected to the ass, a volume increase can start producing muscle contractions. I'd probably want _some_ increase on them, just a little bit less than neutral. Would it be possible to add a multiplier for how much each channel should be affected by the volume script? E.g. I could set it to 1.0 for neutral and 0.5 for left and right.

and like I mentioned before, this is not the first time this has happened. Before it was on a completely different PC and Win10. This is a new PC on Win 11. It's weird that it only happens to me (or the other folks gave up w/o reporting it), but I think you can see by now that it really isn't user error.

Both apps were freshly downloaded from the interwebs.

Anything I can do to help, just let me know. Teamviewer, Anydesk, you can stick your dong in my CD drive, I'm up for whatever. 8-)

(Full disclosure, I do have like 5 different copies of Restim in different places on my PC, for no particularly good reason.... None of them connect. I've tried deleting the %appdata% folders for both apps and it still didn't connect)

I am able to reproduce this, but I also tried to click on "Start server" (big play button top left) in intiface and got connected/rejected again, and device did not appear in intiface, nor it was recognized in script player.

Then I stopped it again, deleted it from the devices in intiface and added again as new one tcode v0.3, started intiface again and then restim connected and it appeared connected in intiface (and also appeared in script player and would work if I play something)

I think this was for me issue because I had the tcode device configured in old version of intiface and now I upgraded intiface, had to delete it from here (and then readd):

So use this delete, not "forget device" (while intiface server is stopped).

Idk if this a new problem with the FOC Restim builds, but I cant get intiface to detect Restim as a device. Restim itself seems to work fine on its end, it says it connected. Intiface gives the same error when ever I start the servers and the device never shows up under devices, Ive added and deleted it three times already, Reset configuration. Image

I'd have simply pasted the text of the error message but for some reason the dev has decided to not allow you to copy from Intiface logs, and the log files are hidden away somewhere I cant find.

I think that error occurs when you have the wrong port configured in settings. It should be ws://127.0.0.1:54817 and not ws://127.0.0.1:12345.

The code in restim for buttplug communication hasn't been changed in a while.

I see your point. Previously it was suggested to have script control over the calibration settings, not a big fan of that... This idea looks a bit better, but it sounds like there are a lot of moving parts that need to be configured and are all nonlinear, that makes it hard to fit in a simple user interface.

I think you can do what you want by writing some code to adjust the volume funscript, dependent on the alpha/beta position. That way you can change the volume balance exactly in the way you like it.

was this in response to me? I have the ports setup correctly I think:

Yes that was for you. It seems you have changed the default intiface port to 54817. You need set the intiface port at something else (the default is 12345), otherwise the websocket device manager that restim tries to connect to doesn't work.

I have to admit that I didn't think through how the math would actually work. While playing said video, which I think ramps from 85% to 100% or something like that, towards the end I manually adjusted neutral power from -6.0 to -5.0, and right power from something like -0.6 to -1.0 to make the intensity increase feel right. Was hoping that the same thing could be done programmatically, but I think I'll have to think a little more about the details.

aw fuck, now i get it. I was basically setting the server and clients backwards. I assumed that ws:localhost had to be the same. Works now. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've deleted and added it many times with no luck. I did it again, just now, just in case I wasn't holding my mouth right. ;-)

For those of you not on discord, here is link to the restim controller, a small software I made to play with restim:
https://github.com/edger477/Restim-Controller

Check out readme there, hopefully is clear enough.

In case of issues, PM me so I can improve it.

Are we out of ideas on my issue? Didn't want to bug anyone during the holiday, assuming anyone celebrated.

My Restim works fine with Multifunplayer, is there any way to get that to communicate with Intiface?

Only idea I have is try changing log level to all in intiface and then connect restim and see if there is any weird message (other devices connecting aside from restim or something similar), since I am guessing this is more on intiface or firewall side.
