Hopefully this isn't a big ask but can you add a bpm detector for beat patterns? It make's editing a lot easier.
It has a built in BPM detector already.
Create your BPM track, right click on it, and select detect BPM

Is it possible to use custom images for the beats? If so, how do you do it?
Hey.
I suppose kerkersklave would be better informed than me to answer your question,
but I had already answered a similar question in this topic if that can be of any help.
Hey.
To use custom images there are two solutions:
1/You can replace the .svg:
(Windows)
Your drive (X):\Program Files\sklave-daniel\Beatmeter Generator
then open the "beatmeter-generator" archive
then open the "meter" folder
then according to your choices open "flying" or "waveform" then replace the .svg with those desired.
The names must be the same and it is preferable to make a copy of the default ones to be able to put them back easily in case of problems.
You can choose .svg on this kind of site for example https://www.svgrepo.com/ remember to change their sizes (to small) to avoid compatibility issues.
(you can customize them)
On the other hand if you want to be able to continue to change the color and put "beat highlight" with custom .svg "you need to mark the respective elements using css-classes in the jar file"
Personally I recolored them in Davinci Resolve.
2/Or you can indicate a personal path directly from beatmeter generator (Tools>beatmeter settings>image directory)
I hope I have more or less answered your question.

If you give an empty directory there, generating a beatmeter fails, so you are never asked for an output directory.
Im troubled. Left it blank and no output directory as you said. How do i go about this? Ive put a directory but still no prompt for an output directory

This tripped me up on a few occasions. You have to check the "D" which stands for display. If it's not checked then BMG doesn't know what you want to export.

Got it! I can export now. And i use capcut - just figured out i must import all pngs and make them the tiniest frame so the images are all playing together... so thats how it works --> Always thought it was a manual transition of a circle moving from left to right (Thats what i saw in some other CH creation videos)
Anyway, just 2 simple questions:
1. Can you simplify that topic on ensuring bits need to be consistent with project? I think my exported png frames seems to be misaligned with the same audio extracted. My quick fix is to group them all up and align to the start where everything should start and i think it works. Might be a capcut thing? Or Im missing smth
2. I saw that the files contain the beat sound "beat" and "click". Where do i change this setting? Seems to always export the audio as the "click"

1. Grouping them and aligning to the start is probably the easiest way to get them to match with the music. I haven't used CapCut, so it might take a little more fiddling around to get everything to align properly, but you should be able to slide things along the timeline until everything aligns for you.
2. In BMG right click on the grey box on the far left of the beat track. Inside that you can change the "Custom Sound" to any beat sound you want to use.
