I'm not deliberately trying to be rude, but you all are operating with double standards here. Just like Mistress Jenn, I wrote in my welcome thread an advertisement ( An off the cuff, subtle reference to me looking to find a Mistress, after my last RL breakup), with the only difference being I was seeking a Mistress, not subs.

And I was swiftly told off by an Administrator...
Because, I was told, this isn't a place for finding people, this is a place for sharing an interest.

Just thought I should point that out, and I apologise if i sound like a whiny bitch, but I believe I have a point

I think the difference is that subs looking for a Mistress tend to be extremely annoying. We get so many requests with subs seeking a Mistress on Milovana (and even on other bdsm related websites) it's kind of become the norm for that stuff to be viewed as cheap and distasteful, mostly because the subs are mostly only out for themselves. They want the big O, and nothing else. Whereas when a Mistress is seeking a sub, they know what they want, they are inviting that interest, so it's not the same. But if you think about it, it only makes sense. It’s all a part of being a sub really.

I can understand about posts that go a little something like:

"Im a slave, and I need a Mistress to punish me and I will do whatever she says"

But what I said was first of all subtle, not in your face, simply letting everyone know where i stood, and secondly, the advertisement was part of a much larger post. You couldnt possibly mistake me for someone looking for a quick tug.

I dont believe Mistresses are just given rights when they put on a title, they have to earn them, and the respect of their subs.
Or at least thats how it works in RL where I am.
