I would love to get this toy to work But if it is not possible... are there some recommended toys to use for this?

Such toys are not cheap, and if you are happy with the Solace, I would recommend to wait, at least until I took a closer look into this, ... I'll let you know (maybe you could do some testing with that toy when I have something puzzled together?).

But while we are at it (and maybe you or other readers just got curious), ...
As for recommendation, from what I read, it seems ppl tend to recommend what they own (I guess I am no exception), ... so if you are going to look into reviews for toys, you might consider those are mostly more subjective than neutral, and people are different, what gives amazing orgasms for the one, another one might be bored by that toy.

I have a problem.

My handy is findable and testable in TAI. Shows up under connected devices as "The Handy (0)"
No matter what I do here, tai looses connection to the handy/intiface once i quit the properties page and go back to the tease.

When I go back to settings, there is maybe a 0.5sec window where the Status says "disconnected", before it connects to butplug again, and I once again need to scan for devices.
I have saved the device with the two metronome options, with the same result.

Any suggestions? I connect the handy with a bluetooth dongle. I have no issues with the handy when using scriptplayer for example.

Yes I think I have tried everything, including CTRL+F1.
If the "connected/disconnected issue is comman, then thats fine, but what happens for me is that the toys list become empty when I close config, and I need to search/connect again. The toy is never connected once config is closed.

Hmmh ... but that sounds quite normal to me.
If I close the toy control window (after searching/selecting/saving a toy) and open it again the toy window is empty again - but that's not a problem (and I don't search/select/save again).

The steps (and order) I'm using the toy in TAI is the following:
I'm starting TAI then go into the remote toy control window,
there I press the "connect"-button (get connected to the already running Intiface instance almost immediately),
then I press the "Scan for Devices" (which is initially empty) and after a few seconds it shows my Handy,
I select the device and verify that the Metronome 1 and Metronome 2 checkboxes are ticked (which is normally the case because it does remember this setting)
then I press the "Save" - button and close the settings window.
After that I'm starting the tease and when the first stroke command (= metronome sound) happens I'll press Ctrl-F1, the popup window opens where I can tick the first checkbox after which the toy starts moving almost immediately.
This process always worked for me (so far).

Tried your guide, but still with the same result. Strange indeed.
I also tried two different teases now just to make sure, but the handy does not move on either of them.

Edit: Strange. It works on a fresh install of TAI, but not on the upgraded one (which has all the settings and file structure)

Glad you've got it running!
When you say 'upgraded', ... how? Only the exe?
Because of this:

Hint:
New libraries (*.dll) added, so if you normally don't do the full install (unzip and replace all) and just replace the exe, this time you have to (at least) update the 'lib' folder as well.
(Actually, this is for future updates and not in use yet.)

Maybe I've overseen something which actually is already in use (there is sooooo much new code, libs and this and that included, so, possible I've overseen something).

If you didn't updated the lib folder, maybe this helps?
Or the 'unzip and replace all' - method?

Short Story: To make use of the stroker toys in teases I'm playing the "House of Tease" now with TAI Awakening. There I have defined a domme image path in the settings. This directory has 20 sub-directories, each one has 50-80 images within.
But every time I play the tease I'm getting only images from the first sub-directory displayed (first = directory name alphabetically sorted). In the original TAI I'm getting random images from all sub-directories displayed.
Any idea what could be the cause?

The top- (main-) directory needs to be empty (except the subfolders of course), if you have images in the top directory, those get picked.
Or maybe you have a video in one of these folders?

Given these requirements, it should work with one top- and many sub- directories, I use it always like this.

My first guess would be something with windows DPI settings.
I simply did a little ChatGPT search, this is what it answers, hope it helps (especially point 3):

It sounds like the text size in your applications has increased unexpectedly. Here are a few steps you can try to adjust the text size back to normal:

1.
Check Display Settings:
Go to Settings > System > Display.
Under Scale and layout, make sure the scaling is set to 100% (Recommended) or adjust it as needed.

Adjust Text Size:
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Text size.
Use the slider to adjust the text size to your preference.

Change Scaling for Specific Apps:
Right-click on the desktop shortcut of the app.
Select Properties > Compatibility.
Click on Change high DPI settings and adjust the settings.

Check for Touch Mode (if using Microsoft Office):
Sometimes, Office applications might switch to Touch Mode, which increases the size of icons and text.

Have the same problem. It occurs when i start TAI on my "second screen". My solution is starting TAI on main screen then swithcing over to second. Clunky workable solution.
