Whenever the Mistress says she has found some videos on my pc to keep me occupied, I get the error that none are found and the tease gets stuck. Where do I place the videos for her to find?

Hi!
Not much info, but I try a guess, in the menu (file), go to:
Settings -> Video -> Genres
On the left side, click on each folder-symbol and select a folder with videos in it, ... of course it would best if the folder would contain videos of that genre, but if you don't have videos sorted like that, for now and to get started, you could just pick any folder that contains videos, could also be always the same folder.

If that not helps just ask again, helpful infos would be:
- which personality you are playing
- when the problem occurs, hit CTRL + F11 and make a screenshot, ... that would show the script, the place where in the script this is and the chatoutput all in once.

You have to select your OWN folders with your OWN videos, that is how it is meant to be.

The Dawn of the Stroker Toys

From this release on out you can experience your favorite Tease-AI personalities on a whole new level.
Don't stroke, get stroked!

It's as simple as it is effective.
Linear stroker toy's which are connected via Intiface Central, like The Handy, (Fun-)SR1, Onyx+ and so on, can now be 'hooked' to the metronome.
And since those toys get controlled by the metronome, this works with any personality which uses the metronome, no changes to the scripts are required.

Simply set up the stroker toy like any other (bluetooth controlled) toy in the advanced settings -> usage as Metronome 1 & 2.

Hint:
It doesn't need to be bluetooth, i.e. I have the FunSR1 connected to Intiface Central via USB, so, as long as Intiface Central shows the toy it should be good to go.


Hint 2:
This release comes a bit early since the Tumblr update was kinda critical, but these new features are there, so why not share already?!
Not everything is polished and finetuned and tested to the extreme, new script commands are coming soon, probably a few more settings to adjust the toy movements, as well as even more stroker-toy-related features.
However, all the new stuff doesn't interfere with anything existing, so if you are unsure, feel free to ignore the new stuff.



Stroker-Toy Control
---------------------

CTRL + F1 -> This open up the Stroker-Toy Control window, it should be self-explaining enough, but as always, if something isn't clear, feel free to ask in the forum!
(Just make sure to go to the advanced settings, be connected to intiface, 'scan for devices' and have it saved with the metronome 1 & 2 activated).

The Metronome Limit:
Different stroker toys can handle different speeds, also physical aspects could interfere, like the weight of a sleeve used with The Handy, if it has to work 'against' the gravity, even if you are lubed up quite well (less power needed) or not.
So, if your toy reaches it's limits, you can adjust a metronome limit or consider to reduce the stroke length.



Keyboard Shortcuts

Return
---> IF the chat-textbox is empty and an edge-command is running, you can report to be on the edge simply by hitting return.
The difference to a 'normal' edge report, aka you type 'edge' and hit return, is that the metronome stops right away, which might be important when the metronome is controlling the stroker toy.

Up- Down- Arrow-Keys -> Shortcut to control the maximum (upper) stroke-length of the toy (same as what the slider in the Stroker-Toy Control window does).

- Hardware (GPU / Graphics Card) Video Decode:

Default/Recommended: Off

Hint:
Enable ONLY if you know what you are doing and if you have a really good reason to enable this.
Hardware decode activated can lead to all kind of Video-Playback issues like i.e.:
Green areas, image artifacts, freezed video image.
This setting takes effect only after restart of this application.



- Fixed a problem with the lower limit of the metronome speed, the limit is 5 bpm, but running the metro the first time in a session there was still the older limit of 20 bpm, now also the first time a metro is running it can go down to 5 bpm.

- Fixed a freeze if you use @RapidText / @RT without the closing bracket

- Fixed a getting stuck when @MetroPatternOn(X) is activated and then you use @MetroPatternOff AND an @Edge command in the same line

- Added an error message if in the taunt files ( _2 and _3 ) the number of lines are not as expected, like you have a line too much or too little.

- New Commands:
@PermSkipExchangeWordsOn
@PermSkipExchangeWordsOff
---> See @SkipExchangeWords, these two simply switch that functionality on/off so you don't have to use it in each line if your are dealing with longer parts of text.

Hint:
New libraries (*.dll) added, so if you normally don't do the full install (unzip and replace all) and just replace the exe, this time you have to (at least) update the 'lib' folder as well.
(Actually, this is for future updates and not in use yet.)

What a nice surprise this evening - thank you so much

Did a quick dry run with different teases testing the connection and it's working without problems so far
But do I have to manually go into advanced settings -> connect to initiface and search for devices every time when starting TAI? Or did I miss something?

Unfortunately I can't test it more thoroughly right now

I've asked the exactly same question to myself a while ago.
The 'Init At Startup' is already there but hidden since I need some finetuning and testing on this, will need some more time but will definitely come.

So, to answer your question: Yes, for now you'll have to do this at each startup, ... but from my own experience, once you are used to it, it's done quite quickly.
Oh, it's not a must that you do this right at the start, you could setup your toy also within an already running session and then just activate/deactivate it with the Stroker-Control-Window.

As soon as i finish moving to my new home i will buy one and i am 100% sure i will use this feature all the time.
Awakening has improved so much from the basic concept of Tease AI that you can't be thanked enough for your work

I've had time to test the stroker toy implementation yesterday using TheHandy with 3 different personalities and they all work like a charm.

I have only a few minor things to report which can possibly contributed to user/usage error.

- in the settings window it shows "Intiface Central could not be found .." at the right of the "Start"-Button -
but I can manually start Intiface, then I can press the connect button und search for devices and it's working anyway.
The reason for the error message is very certainly because I made all my initial configuration/settings on my Windows desktop and then copied the whole directory of TAI Awakening over to my Windows laptop. The directory structure for TAI Awakening is the same on both Windows machines but Intiface Central is installed in a different location on my laptop. But I didn't find a place where I could change the installation path in the settings - apart from maybe directly in TAISettings.xml

- (same settings window) if I don't scan for devices and don't select a device - but press the "Save"-Button anyway - which I should not possible do - I'll get a crash popup window which can be closed - so no big deal

Unfortunately I can't get my Lovense Solace running but to be honest I am completely noob in this things. I installed Intiface for Windows and start the server. The toy was instantly found and also instant in the Tease AI. In my screen you can see how I set it up. When I pressed "save" in the bottom right it seem like there is nothing happen and I still can't use the "Test Device".

Edit: After I close the settings and open them again I always have to select the toy again.

When I use the Oscillate Slider in Intiface the toy is running.

Thx, yeah, that Tumblr thing has bothered me, too, fortunately easy enough to fix.

One reason why it took me so long to come up with some support for TheHandy and other stroker toys was simply that I didn't owned one myself, and without one, coding for such toys is more guessing than anything else, ... as soon as I got one, I've started to work on support for them.

The problem now with the Lovense Solace is shown in your screen, it is an oscillating toy (it has an acturator 'Oscillate' which you can see in the middle, under 'Selected Device').
But what the metronome controlls is (for now) only 'linear' toys, and I also don't own an oscillating toy (and don't plan on getting one - happy with what I have already).

Honestly, I didn't even thought about anything other than linear toys when I've implemented this.
I will give it a try to implement as well as vibrating toys, but I cannot promise anything, ... by a quick look in the code it seems that for oscillating toys I could only control the 'intensity' for it, ... can you explain a little bit about that toy, how it works, what things you can control by the buttons on the toy itself and so on?

@all:
I've found a little bug, well, 2 actually, one is about 2 of the same toys with exactly the same name (so if you don't have 2 of the same kind it doesn't matter for you), ... and somehow regarding to the first problem, if you setup 2 toys to the same usage, you would differ them by the intesity-level in the settings (next to the usage), ... that works and is saved and used correctly, but it will not displayed correctly in the settings menu.

Right now I'm re-writing my endscript (maybe you could imagine that this is very important for me, personally ^^ ), ... but next is going through this feedback here and those bugs mentioned, ... have a little patience, I'll try as soon as possible. (@genome: I didn't forget about you, that is next after next )

Thank you for your quick respond. The Lovense Solace has some default stroking patterns but they are only come to use when you are offline with this toys and don't use any kind of remote. In the Lovense app you simply have 2 settings to use and play around. First one is the stroking speed and the second one are the stroke length. So you can use like short and fast strokes but also long/deep and slow.

Such toys are not cheap, and if you are happy with the Solace, I would recommend to wait, at least until I took a closer look into this, ... I'll let you know (maybe you could do some testing with that toy when I have something puzzled together?).

But while we are at it (and maybe you or other readers just got curious), ...
As for recommendation, from what I read, it seems ppl tend to recommend what they own (I guess I am no exception), ... so if you are going to look into reviews for toys, you might consider those are mostly more subjective than neutral, and people are different, what gives amazing orgasms for the one, another one might be bored by that toy.

So, personally, I own a 'TheHandy' and a 'FunSR1', both work with this metronome control.
Some (or most) say the (Fun-)SR1 beats TheHandy, ... I've been told that once I test the FunSR1 I'd throw my TheHandy out of the window, ... after testing both I wouldn't go that far, both toys have pro's and con's, I'm still using both.

About TheHandy, here I wrote a bit, (also the other posts might be of interest):

TheHandy is probably the most popular toy of it's kind, you'll find plenty of reviews and info about it, if you need more info about the FunSR1, just ask.

Maybe other ppl (YOU, yes, YOU! ... You know who I mean! ) around also drop their experiences and recommendations in here (or maybe we just hijack that linked thread ^^ ).
