Applications for running funscripts

Post by Sissyminnie »

Hello everyone. Apologies if this is a noob question. Which applications are y'all using to connect to funscript enabled toys?

I recently purchased an Edge2 from Lovense. The "Vibemate" software that comes from Lovense looks like it is mostly designed to connect you to funscript enabled videos on the web. I've downloaded a few funscripts from the forums here that I'd love to try out, but I have no idea which application can run the scripts while connected to the device.

Thanks for any guidance!

Hey!

TLDR:
Use https://funscript-player.vercel.app, or install Intiface to connect the toy to your PC.
And you will need ScriptPlayer to connect to Intoface and playback your funscripts.
--------

Let me clear things first.

By default there are no such things as "funscript enabled toys".
There are toys that can connect to a pc (or phone) through Bluetooth, WiFi or cable and can be controlled by it.

Funscript is a community/opensource format that can be used to control such devices.
As such there are a couple of players that can play the format.
Some online like https://funscript-player.vercel.app, which can handle device connection and playback.
There are apps like XToys (but this is a whole other rabbithole).
And there are pc softwares, like ScriptPlayer (I found this best for single devices) or MultiFunPlayer (this can handle multiple devices or multiple device features that are controled by different scripts)
These usually only handle the playback parts of things and the actual device control happens through a software called Intoface (buttplug.io).

This essentially makes it possible for the players to connect to hundreds of devices.
It will tell the player that a device can vibe or move and how many of these features they have.
So the scriptplayer do not have to care about the device just about their feautures.

As I wrote there are multiple features, so not all funscripts are created equaly.
There are scripts for vibes and there are scripts for moving devices (strokers).
Both have time markers (ms) with a number next to them (0-100).

If you use a funscript with a vibe, it will tell the device how strong they have to be (0-100).

When you use a funscript with a stroker the number will correlate to the position where the stroker will move.

So if you have a 2sec long script, with
0: 0
30: 100
60: 0
90: 100
120: 0

A stroker will stroke you 2 times.
While a vibe will vibe you for half a sec 30-60 and stop and vibe you again for half a sec from 90-120 on max speed. And it will switch from 0 to max instantly. On a Lovense Domi this can be even painful for some.

But do not fear, ScriptPlayer has a feature that lets you convert the script intensity (speed+position) to vibe strength, you can find this in the settings.

So if you play a funscript that was meant for strokers, like the one I mentioned.

It will convert is to a nice 50-60 strenth vibe instead of blasting you with full power bursts.

In conclusion, if you have scripts that were meant to be used with vibes, you can just use https://funscript-player.vercel.app
Easy pain free.

If you have stroker scripts, install Intiface and ScriptPlayer (change the vibe settings to position and speed) and you are set.

Now, since edge2 has 2 vibes in it, if you have 2 vibe script for the same video, you can go on the MultiFunPlayer route, and set the different vibes to play different scripts.
This is much more involved, I only mentioned this if you want to spice things up in the future, once you had your fun and need a change.

Wow. Thank you so much for this guidance Ghingis!

I've tested with both Intiface/ScriptPlayer and the web based https://funscript-player.vercel.app/

Both work exactly as expected with local files.

Much appreciated!!
