Looking to Upload an Edit
Hello!
I am very excited as I have just finished an edit that was inspired by a few audios over at r/gonewildaudio.
I want to share my work with the community and not keep this as a private project as I want to say some kind of thank you to the community for providing me with so many hours of enjoyment.
I went to Spankbang to upload my video so that I could post the link on here, but found out that they have basically removed the ability to upload videos. I read online that it was restricted to South Korea and Japan, and after trying to sort that using my VPN I could still not find an upload button anywhere.
Does anyone know of any sites that I can easily upload my video to so that I can share it? I've considered also setting up a MEGA account and sharing it that way, but wanted to get some thoughts of others who might know of a better solution than I do!
Thanks for taking the time to read, have a great day!

If the edit is of the musical variety and it's not too large/long, you can try https://pmvhaven.com/
It's a pmv focused site but I have seen CHs pop up occasionally over there.

Unfortunately it's not, it's 40 minutes long. I'll give them a try and see if it accepts my upload. Thank you!Werdandy wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 12:48 pm If the edit is of the musical variety and it's not too large/long, you can try https://pmvhaven.com/

Edit: I tried it, but the Max file size is 2.5GB and my video is 5.5GB
Re: Looking to Upload an Edit
That is way too much, even if it is 4k. Did you do handbrake run over it? Use h265 software encoder. If you are unsure or have slow pc, upload it to Mega and DM me, I'll transcode it for you, if it is 1080p should go below 2gb, probably around 1.SpeshDetective wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 1:24 pm

Re: Looking to Upload an Edit
Unfortunately, it's never been a worse time to be a pmv style creator when it comes to sharing your content. Most major tube sites don't allow uploading anymore or you have to be verified content creator. Below are the websites I use but they aren't as good as it used to be as far as sharing your content with the most people possible.
Tube sites:
Pmvhaven - low # of viewers, pretty sketchy as far as pop ups and advertising, only a 5 gb upload limit.
Hypnotube - more viewers but it's audience expects certain types of content so you risk getting down voted if it's not what they expect to be on the site, also a 5 gb limit.
Eporner - more traditional tube site, not close to # of viewers that spankbang or pornhub has.
Youjizz - probably the best traditional tube site you can still upload to but if you use non original content there is a high chance it will get taken down.
File sharing:
Mega - free version has a limit to how much total file size you can house.
Pixel drain - no limit but auto deletes files after a certain amount of time if people stop downloading it.

This is my first time making any kind of content so I'm not familiar with compressing videos. I did a quick bit of research and found people saying that all video comes compressed now and it's rare to find uncompressed video.edger477 wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 1:41 pmThat is way too much, even if it is 4k. I'm uploading it to MEGA now and will post the link once it's up.
Re: Looking to Upload an Edit
When you export the video from your editor software (DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, Cybersomething something, whatever), that program always has some preset for the format into which it save, it takes clips you put on timeline and decompresses them, applies effects, transitions etc and makes a new video that is compressed with that selected preset. That is where you probably have bad compression (hopefully is good quality video, should be with that size).SpeshDetective wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 2:27 pm

Handbrake can transcode that video (decode and encode using different compression alghoritm/preset), and hopefully I can help you get same visual quality and significant reduction in size. Take for example this video viewtopic.php?p=365280#p365280
The editor spit out a 10gb file, but transcoding it with h265 got it to under 3gb (and with h264 it would be under 5GB) with no noticeable loss in video quality.
You can simply use ffmpeg for that but the most efficient (quality/size) alghoritms are software (libx265) which runs on CPU and can take hours to transcode a video, especially if you run it on laptop or older pc.

Re: Looking to Upload an Edit
I have now uploaded the file to MEGA, and for now anyone that comes across this thread can also view and enjoy my edit, though once I have this figured out I will be making an announcement post.edger477 wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 1:41 pmThat is way too much, even if it is 4k. Re: Looking to Upload an Edit
I got this, it will take maybe 30-40 min to transcode, but I made quick peek to see the quality and it seems that source has only 27 min, after it just loops few frames... Can you check and if it is same on your side, you will need to re-export it from your editor.

Re: Looking to Upload an Edit
I should have checked before uploading, the last section didn't export correctly, so I've got to re-export it, combine it into the main project, export that again and reupload, I will post a new link once that's complete, thanks for letting me know and for checking!edger477 wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 3:36 pm I got this, it will take maybe 30-40 min to transcode, but I made quick peek to see the quality and it seems that source has only 27 min, after it just loops few frames... Re: Looking to Upload an Edit
If you want me I will transcode it after you upload it. If you want to try yourself, download and install Handbrake, and here is a setting that will give you nice quality (maybe the quality could be even lower but this value should be more than enough to not degrade your video at all). You could also go with medium instead of slow preset, that will save some time but since you are encoding once to be downloaded many times, I think slow is worth it. Also note that x265 10-bit is better than x265 (which is by default 8-bit), I haven't personally compared them but I use it because I read it is better. 12-bit is overkill and not supported by all players.SpeshDetective wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 3:41 pm

The video has just finished reuploading to MEGA

The old video compressed with these settings came out at 1.6gb, I expect you will have similar result.SpeshDetective wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 4:26 pm
I have started compressing the video with the settings you've suggested, thanks for you help, I'll update in about an hour and a half when it finishes.

Re: Looking to Upload an Edit
The video compressed, but now when I try and play it I get a message telling me that the video format is not supported, and I get the same error when trying to upload it to pmvhaven.edger477 wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 5:07 pm The old video compressed with these settings came out at 1.6gb, I expect you will have similar result.
I am able to play the video in VLC player and it looks great, no issue with the quality. Have you come across this before? I'm trying to find out where I can tell what's unsupported to google the issue.
Re: Looking to Upload an Edit
Do you have K-Media Codec Pack installed? Usually if you get Media Player Classic you get it. Sometimes it asks you to buy the decoder in Windows Store (costs around 1 euro), but anyway... better to go other way.SpeshDetective wrote: Thu Jul 11, 2024 10:10 amThe video compressed, but now when I try and play it I get a message telling me that the video format is not supported, and I get the same error when trying to upload it to pmvhaven.edger477 wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2024 5:07 pm The old video compressed with these settings came out at 1.6gb, I expect you will have similar result.

I checked PMVHaven and they seem to prefer AV1: https://pmvhaven.com/av1
I tested this codec (transcoded Ebhan's CRVRNextLevel to it since my Radeon was dropping frames when playing hevc), and the quality seems to be same as h265. I just read that youtube and other streaming sites also prefer it.
So, transcode it to AV1 with Handbrake.
Change the Video Encoder in Handbrake to AV1 (10-bit SVT should be ok too) and set FPS to "Same as source". Try Constant Quality with RF around 22 (lower value is higher quality, so if you notice any compression artifacts, lower it, if the file is too big, move it left to higher value).
